This B&B is comfortable, welcoming and in a beautiful setting. It was easy to get to and easy to find. Eleanor and Bill are super hosts, and fun to chat with. We loved hiking at the Ranch in the morning and seeing all the deer. Breakfast was great. Definitely go see Hearst Castle in the morning!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Queen Room, which was plenty big enough for the two of use. I did find the cleaners...

This was our third stop on our drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. We stayed at larger more expensive inns, but this was the place we felt most at home.
I have had hugs from owners on leaving before, but I have never had a hug on arrival until I came here!
I just felt as if we had come to stay with family. Eleanor bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed, and she had thought of everything. We were late arriving due to a hold up on the PCH Big Sur section, and by the time we arrived we were very tired.
We were greeted with a tray of goodies (cheese, salami, humous, crackers, etc) and a bottle of red and we just never left the room 'til morning!
We had the Queen Room (the smaller of the two) but it was ample in size for us. The bathroom attached was large and immaculate, with everything provided right down to a sewing kit!
Breakfast was fantastic taken in their own kitchen, with a view onto the deck where birds come to feed. We had a bowl of fresh fruit, orange juice, bacon, egg soufflé, gorgeous local sausages, and just when we thought we would burst, Eleanor produced wonderful light blueberry pancakes! It was just what we needed at the start of a busy day sightseeing. The area where the house is set is quite rural in feel, and both mornings we took a stroll before breakfast and enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds and woodpeckers and jays, then on the second day we were joined by five deer which actually walked within ten feet of us across the road.
The house is ideally situated for visiting Hearst Castle, and it is definitely worth a visit, and the little town of Cambria is lovely to look round with many galleries and good eateries.
Try Linn's for their homemade pies a la mode - to die for!
If we were able to plan our holiday again we would definitely allocate more time to Cambria, it is a lovely area, and you could not do better than to stay with Eleanor and Bill.
Thank you both. We loved every minute of it!

The owner Elenore is so sweet. My husband and I stayed for 1 night but we will be back. We had snacks and great wine waiting for us upon our arrival. Breakfast was delicious and she was sensitive to our dietary needs. The rooms are equipped with water, snacks, bath and body works lotions, etc. Elenore thought of everything!

We bought a two night stay through a Make-A-Wish fundraiser and were pleasantly surprised at our experience. Eleanore and Bill are Make-A-Wish supporters so they get 5 stars just for that. The rooms are just what you'd expect if you spent the night at Moms house for the weekend, nice, comfortable, and all the simple things from home you'd expect. A jar full of chocolate, a fridge full of soda, and a bottle of wine to get you started. The next thing you know Eleanore is delivering a tray full of goodies including Guac and chips. Our breakfast the next morning was a 7-course delight that left us feeling full, satisfied, and ready to tackle the local wonders. By the way, you'll find yourself exchanging family stories, recipes, and pictures and wonder why it's noon already.

Very clean, very nice, with wonderful hosts.

We left an extra bottle of wine tucked away in the closet of the Queen room...just in case you're staying there soon and get a little thirsty. Enjoy.

My husband and I stayed for our 6 month anniversary weekend and absolutely loved the beautiful accomodations. Everything was spotless, the bed was super cozy, the breakfast was delicious and the tea tray before hand was made for a queen with bone china, fresh flowers and all kinds of special little touches. Eli and Bill were so sweet and made sure we were happy the whole time we were there with everything we needed including a table set up for sweethearts with a bottle of wine, glasses and candles upon our arrival. A truly magical setting.
