Our family enjoyed a Christmas Eve dinner tonight at Cham Soot Gol in Garden Grove. This was our first visit to this Korean BBQ restaurant and we were impressed by the friendly service, quality meats and generally good side dishes as well. We decided to go for the $18.49 per person all you can eat (AYCE) option, and this included tasty bulgogi, pork jowl, marinated chicken thighs, pork belly, among other meat options that we cooked over a gas grill. The dipping sauces were standard but good. The meal started with a choice of 3 different soups, and the egg pot (basically a steamed egg custard) was better than the tofu soup and other soup option. The wait staff came by reasonably often and we didn’t have to wait too long for more refills of meats, side dishes or drinks. The meal ended with serve yourself ice cream cones and a few ice cream choices. Overall, an excellent value and look forward to going back again when down in the OC.
