Overnight trip

Our room was very clean with a fireplace, that we got to enjoy. The bathtub was older, however, water pressure and the soap provided was great. Breakfast was continental, nothing fancy. Some of their shrubs are cut as various people and animals, which I found amusing...I only wish I'd remembered to ask the symbolism of it. I thought it may have been an homage to the movie "The Birds," but I do t believe it was. Oh, the view from our room looking out to the bay....gorgeous.

I just stayed there for 2 nights with my dog. It was so peaceful and just wonderful. My window looked out at the bay. Got to see the sunset. Bed was large, clean and comfy. It’s not a luxurious place but it’s very nice and especially accommodating with my dog. It’s a short walk to the Bird walk and beach. Also could walk to Lucas Wharf restaurant and Fisheterian. Wonderful location and the staff very nice and helpful. I plan to go back. Also I think reasonably priced for the area.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a good view.

We stayed here over the winter holidays, as a short get away from the city. The hotel is conveniently located near the Birdwalk Coastal Access Trail, and a few yards away from a strip mall with a few casual eateries. A car is recommended, and parking is free. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most rooms have nice views of the bay--sunsets are gorgeous! The room itself has high ceilings, fridge, microwave, coffee maker--good basics, since there aren't many shops in the area. There was also a hot tub on the grounds, and was heated even during the winter months. Downsides were that the room seemed old and in need of updates. We had trouble with the toilet flushing completely, and it kept draining on a few occasions (but a call to the front desk led to prompt attention). The tub seemed stained and/or dirty, fixtures seemed to have not been updated since the 70s or 80s, but did work. Corners of the hotel had a lot of dust, which aggravated allergies, linens were clean, but some towels were threadbare. Breakfast was simple. I think this used to be a Best Western, and the breakfast was about what you'd get at one (pastries, make it yourself toast, make it yourself waffle, packets of oatmeal, dry cereal). All things aside, I would return if the price were lower (We paid upwards of $200/night, but perhaps we went during high season).

Room tip: second floor rooms may have a better view, some lower level rooms have a small porch where you can sit out and enjoy views of the bay

Stayed her with the family over the holiday for a quick one night stay. This is a nice hotel. Not fancy and a little dated but clean, pleasant, comfortable and right near the water. Especially loved that we could bring our dog. Nice continental Breakfast in the morning. Coffee and a fridge in the room. I thought it was a little pricey for off season in the area but I was willing to do it for some much needed family time. The people who work the front desk were very friendly. There is also a Jacuzzi for relaxing at night. I recommend going up to the harbor for a crab sandwich and some fresh oysters..yum!

My family and I stayed here for a wedding we were attending down the street. When we arrived the kind gentlemen at the front desk named Steve welcomed us with our reservation ready for check in. He was very professional and even asked if it was okay to give my doggies a treat! They definitely loved him after that. Our room was very comfortable, the bed was soft to medium and the bedding looked brand new. Clean bathrooms and nice quality towels were a pleasant surprise. The breakfast in the morning had lots of options as well, ceral, waffles, yogurt, granola, juices, oatmeal and more. They have a tub that we did not use but looked nice over looking the bay. The price is a great for what you get. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to stay!

Our family lost our home in the tubs fire.
FEMA listed the Bodega Coast Inn .
Was the closest place that would accept our family,
Including 2 adults, 2 daughters and 2 dogs.
Upon arrival, I was welcomed sincerely by the owner .
During such a unsure and stressful time for our family, the owners Kevin and Tammy made us feel at home.
After going into the office to extend our stay,
My daughter said " they are such nice people "
We are lucky and happy to have met them and stayed at their inn

Ps this website would not allow us to select the " service, sleep quality or location "
We give it 5 stars

Room tip: We stayed in a room closer to the road and it was not loud Also like the sound of the fog horn
