Hoping we might get some money back. Reservations were handled fine. Room was fairly clean other than interesting items found in drawers. Blue ray disc, pieces of foam, jar lids. No idea why. The heater didn’t work. Talked to lady in office. She explained how to use it. We tried, still no luck. Go back and tell her it doesn’t work, she says oh yeah I think that room has a problem, she will call the manager. We go to dinner and come back and go to office. No one is there. Try again an hour later. She says she forgot to call manager. She gives us a plug in room heater. Day 2.... no one comes to clean room. So... office is closed for thanksgiving so we will try again when they are open. We dump our trash, make our beds and will hopefully get new towels. The towels from last night are still wet since our room is cold and damp.. remember no heat? We are supposed to stay here one more night but I sort of want to leave. The people next to us are noisy banging doors. They have not left the motel that we have noticed. Not sure if they rent the room or what. Sketchy and not feeling all that safe. Another one to avoid in bishop. Oh finally... TV guide says they have ESPN, it’s a lie. Free WiFi? Cannot even get onto it. Will update review if they do anything to make it better.

We usually use The Trees every time we visit family in Bishop, CA. We knew Christmas was in Bishop in 2017 so made reservations in October of 2016, just got a call today that unfortunately they need to cancel our reservations. That's just great, now I'm weeks instead of months away from our trip from AZ to Bishop without a hotel. Thanks, The Trees, so disappointing.

We are so sorry. Mammoth Mountain purchased the entire motel and it was all or nothing. It's during our slow season and it helped us get through he winter. This winter they are booking 75 beds at 3 locations so I may have availabilities. I'll know in a couple of weeks if you want to check back with us. Again we are so sorry to inconvenience you.

Very small room in a 1950s or 1960s small motel. Floor sagged. The shower ran a constant change of very hot to very cold. The bathroom tub and sink were vintage pink. No breakfast. Friendly manager. This is an "L" shape motel on a corner lot with what looks like a pleasant grass area under tall trees.

We have renovated rooms available. We hope you give us another chance and request one of the renovated rooms. Were almost done with all of them.

While it was a little loud in the morning bc all the rooms are a few steps from the parking lot, this place was clean and comfortable. Suited us well for stopping for the night on the way to Tahoe. The front office does close at 10pm but we were only a few minutes away when we called from Big Pine (where everything was sold out) so it wasn't a problem for us. Room has a mini fridge and microwave, a walk in shower (great for people woth disabilities) and while the 2 of us stayed in the 3 bed room (bc that's all that was left), it was discounted for us.

If you've ever stayed in a motel anywhere along highway 395 in the Eastern Sierra, you'll know they are basically ALL the same. This one is no different. The good news is the motel is not on the main highway, which cuts down on some of the ambient noise. Check in was as easy as I've done. Probably no more than 5 minutes. Very easy. Shower pressure was good, and there was never any problem with hot water (which is surprisingly a problem at a lot of places we've stayed.) That's about all I can say was positive. The walls are paper thin, and you are at the mercy of your neighbors when you can sleep or when it gets quiet. Thankfully the two nights we stayed we had decent neighbors, but when they would talk, or make any noise at all, it would come right into our room, startling when you are trying to relax. And though the motel is not on the main road, any loud car that would come by would also come right into the room. The beds were lumpy and saggy. Not comfortable at all. There was a strange soft spot on the floor, and water would come up through the floor boards when we'd step on the spot. I have no idea what that was about, but I assume there was a leak in the water pipe or sewer pipe and water would come up through the floor when we stepped on it! Lastly, we were there for 2 nights, and we did not get our room serviced after the first night. When we asked about it, the office simply said "oh yeah, looks like they never got to it". OK...no apology no nothing? And then we had to ask for extra toilet paper and garbage bags (since they didn't clean the room, the stinky garbage didn't get picked up.)

Needless to say we wouldn't stay here again. There are other motels that are not on the main highway, and since they are all the same, we may as well try again at another place.
