We are located at 2742 North Sierra Highway (Highway 395) about two (2) miles north of the City of Bishop, California. The Paiute Palace Casino is proudly owned and operated by the Bishop Paiute Tribe. The Paiute Palace Casino was established in October of 1995; the Casino's first home was a small temporary building. In April of 1996 the current Casino opened its doors and today, with over 65% Native Americans employed, it is one of the most Native American employed casinos in the State. The Paiute Palace Casino keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter while enjoying gaming activities - the latest and greatest slot machines, blackjack and poker. When Skiing in Mammoth, the nightly poker tournaments are a nice aspre ski destination. The casino is small and there are only 2poker tables but it isn't hard to get a seat in the game. The locals are an interesting bunch and make playing all teh more pleasant. There is normally a cash game after the tournament so you can play late. The casino has mostly slots plus a few card games for the gamblers. It's nice to have this entertainment destination in the middle of teh Sierras.

We have enjoyed the Paiute Casino. We have done well there and have done bad. Hubby and I won over $800 on the slots and we were sitting right next to each other at the time...so we have probably won more than we have lost. They also have a cafe.

If you want to go through a couple hundred dollars on a slot without seeing a cherry, this is your place. Stingiest slots I've ever seen, and I've been around. The casino itself provides all the warmth and atmosphere of a Greyhound bus depot.
