This 50+ acre pet friendly wilderness ranch with its private, luxurious, romantic cabins is the perfect getaway from life in the fast lane. The property abuts the Pacific Crest Trail with beautiful wilderness hiking for as long a hike as you want, and is less than 1/2 hour into the town of Big Bear where you have wonderful restaurants, a lake and downhill mountain skiing/snowboarding in winter. It is a family run business where the owners treat you like family.

Room Tip: Pick one of the cabins that has a luxuriating hot tub!

This is a fantastic weekend getaway from LA, just 2.5 hours from the city. It’s very dog friendly, which is a huge plus. The cabins are very, very clean and incredibly nice. No cell phone service, so you’re truly off the map and one with nature. The cabins are spaced well apart so you really feel alone in the woods. Really unique place, 5 stars!!

Cienaga Creek Ranch is one of the most romantic places to stay in Southern California. We stayed in the Wild Rose cabin and it was beautiful. The kitchen and living room were very quaint with personal touches for our stay, including a hand written welcome note and fresh baked cinnamon rolls, with orange juice and milk. There was also fresh fruit on a plate in the kitchen. The CD player in the bedroom was playing soft music to add to the ambiance. The bed was so comfortable and the jacuzzi tub for two created the luxurious and romantic atmosphere that is missing in so many places today. You will be surrounded by pines and comfort, but you will also be completely off the grid. No cell service, no phone, no TV. The cabin does come with a DVD player so you may want to bring your favorite movies with you, or choose from a selection that is provided. The tub does take a long time to fill with hot water, but it did not detract from the experience of the stay. The cabins are far enough apart that we did not see any of the other buildings from our cabin, which makes that romantic seclusion a true reality. The owners have even taken the time to recommend the top restaurants in Big Bear, which is only 15 miles away. There are hiking trails on the property from 30 minutes vista points to a full 4 hour hike through the mountain. This is the place to celebrate or reconnect in the quiet, romantic location of the Big Bear woodlands.

Room Tip: Use their website to select your room based on your family size.

The beautiful mountain getaway that Vickie and Scott have created is so quiet and peaceful we hated to leave. And it's only an hour from Redlands! What a perfect family retreat. The cabins are so charming and the bed so comfortable. The air is so crisp and clean it makes everything taste and smell so good!! We hope to come when the snow is falling!!! Thank you Vickie and Scott, you are exceptional hosts!!
