We recently had a wonderful stay in LA a city which we do not know very well. Adam, the concierge was extremely helpful in giving us excellent restaurant recommendations, points of interest to visit, and directions and maps. Along with the great location and friendly, efficient staff, we will certainly look forward to staying here on our next visit.

We just had a wonderful first time stay at this gem just steps from Rodeo Drive. The lobby staff was terrific-friendly,competent,and extremely helpful. From getting exact directions,to restaurant reservations,to printing our boarding passes they couldn't have been more professional. The roof top lounge and pool made the hotel even more special if that was possible
We travel to LA once or twice a year and The Thompson will be our choice every time

The hotel is in a great area and it is hip but not our favorite in LA. The rooms seem to be cheaply decorated (ei Ikea-esk) and bathroom is so dark it is hard to get ready in. I did not think this hotel had as much luxury as we are used to. The big draw to this hotel is the location which is amazing!

We stayed here 2 nights, great location but staff are not very friendly at reception, we asked for 2 maps of the area and it was certainly a struggle to get them. Sometimes we had to wait for the receptionists to finish their private conversation before they would even look our way. The bell boys were the most friendliest. We had to call the cleaners to clean our room as it wasnt done and the excuse was that they were very busy (this is a small boutique hotel - very strange). Otherwise the decor in the room was lovely and the room itself was nice. The only upside is, is that we were checked in very quickly and also check out quite quickly too. Noone explained to us what the hotel had to offer and where anything was located which was a little disapointing..

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor, I am sure that there are better rooms with a view on the higher floors.

Dear Bijou_8,

I appreciate your feedback and I am disappointed to hear that our service was below our standards. I will be sure to address our failure to provide you with the level of service you deserve with my team. Hopefully you were still able to enjoy your stay with us, and I hope to welcome you back in the future so we may provide you with the type of service of which Thompson Hotels is proud. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly upon your next trip to Los Angeles.

My partner and I stayed at the Thompson for 3 nights, and it was definitely our favourite stay during our 3 and a half week holiday.

We had previously spent 2 nights in Anaheim, so we could do a day at Disneyland and be within walking distance, and then we wanted a few days closer to all the attractions in LA.

The hotel was extremely well priced, considering it was right next to Rodeo Drive and was such a magnificent hotel.

The hotel rooms are very modern, and a perfect size for the two of us. We visited in Winter, so we were unable to take advantage of the roof top pool and bar however we did sneak up to have a look and the views are incredible!

I highly highly highly recommend the restaurant/bar that is in the bottom of the hotel, the food is amazing.

Excellent service and extremely clean hotel all round.
