Thought we would try Denny's once more after a very poor showing in Wichita Kansas. Wish we hadn't.
Travelling with a person who needs Gluten Free food to survive wasn't a good experience here. Tons of things on the menu marked "Gluten Free"but the waitress came back and said there wasn't anything available on the premises that was Gluten Free. The rest of us had ordered already (3 people ) so this person had to just sit there drinking water while we ate. Our meals were okay though took nearly 45 minutes to arrive after ordering. If you cannot serve the advertised Gluten Free food take it off your menu's and save people who need this type of food the time and energy to come into your premises.
There seems to be a problem at this eatery as we watched a truck driver ( this Denny's is part of a truckstop) wait 25 minutes before anybody even turned up to ask for his order and when he commented they really turned nasty at him....the waitress and the manageress were terrible. Not a pretty sight. He left without eating and then the waitress said " we have problems with people like him here in the South " As far as we could see he was just trying to get a meal. Maybe the truckstop should get rid of Denny's and find another company to be their food supplier.
There were a lot of dirty tables that hadn't had the used dishes picked up so there must have been a staff shortage that night....26th September.
If i owned or run this Denny's the whole staff working that night would have been out the door unemployed it was that bad. By the way i have 30 years experience in food service and this was not the way to treat paying guests.
Will we ever eat at another Denny's......probably not and i love there Chicken Fried Steak!
