Just returned from the most amazing 10 days in this paradise and was absolutely gutted to leave.

This place is exceptional. The grounds are absolutely immaculate and tended to meticulously. Not a leaf was out of place!

We booked a family swim up room, as I wanted a swim up and these were the only ones available at the time. We were not disappointed, it was huge! A whole suite, with bedroom, large bathroom, dining area and lounge. The swim up area was lovely, and was fab to have the private space, but the pool was quite cold as it didn’t get much sun. The whole room was beautiful, cleaned to a fantastic standard every day and came with a very ample mini bar!

The food - amazing! So much choice. We didn’t try all of the restaurants, mainly opting for Sugarcane buffet for our evening meals, but both the Italian and burger restaurant didn’t disappoint either. Themed nights provided ample variety and there was something for everybody, which is rare for me to say as I am so fussy. The staff were always super friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help.

There were plenty of bars, and the drinks provided were fantastic. We enjoyed many very tasty cocktails! Again, staff very friendly!

We opted to have a spa treatment, which again like everything else, was excellent. The staff were lovely and the service we received was well worth the money.

The gym was adequate. Admittedly I didn’t visit it much, but my boyfriend used it and it was more than sufficient.

The pools were good. Plenty of space and never too crowded. It was busier in the pool by the swim up bar, but the adults pool was generally very empty. They overlooked the beach which was lovely.

The beach itself was great. Ample loungers, some shaded and some not so plenty to suit all needs. The beach was quieter than the pool, so that’s where we spent most of our time. You could walk a fair way up the beach too, which was lovely. There were a few vendors on the beach, which could be fairly persistent at times, but generally were not too much of a problem.

I am definitely intending to book this place again! We both loved our time here and were gutted to leave. Such a beautiful hotel with an incredible, hard working team keeping everything ticking along.

My husband and I are Prestige members and we have had absolutely wonderful experiences at several Karisma resorts over the past 4 years. However, our experience at Sensatori Punta Cana truly raised the bar and exceeded all of our expectations! The beach is just gorgeous...soft plush sand, warm ocean waters, swaying palm trees, amazing views. There was very little seaweed here compared to the Riviera Maya beaches (though I hear this depends on the season), and you can walk for a long distance feeling very safe because of all the resorts in the area. In addition to the thoroughly beautiful natural location, we also really enjoyed the impeccable resort grounds and layout. We were in building #7 with a swim-up suite, which was just perfect for us. It's far enough away from any noise and activity that our room was always tranquil and relaxing...yet it's close to all the nighttime events. All of their restaurants are situated in a very quaint and cozy town square called the Gourmet Village. This is different from some of the other resorts where the restaurants are spread out over the whole property. The Gourmet Village hosts their fabulous resident musicians in the middle of the plaza, and also contains the Sensatori Show Lounge where they have the nightly (9:30pm) shows. Most of the shows are performed by the resorts own hardworking and talented entertainment team of singers and dancers, though they did bring in a couple productions during the week as well.

The staff at Punta Cana Sensatori is quite simply outstanding. There were several employees who went above and beyond the call of duty throughout the week, and it is because of them that this vacation in particular was so phenomenal. First we have to give tremendous accolades to our Prestige butler, Henry Matos. This extremely friendly, courteous, humble, dedicated man did everything in his power to make sure we had a relaxing, stress-free week. He arranged all our meals, handled communication between us other departments of the resort, made sure we had whatever incidentals we needed in the room, reserved our cabanas on the beach, and generally made sure we had the best time possible each and every day of our stay! He definitely enhanced our experience of this resort and we were so deeply grateful to have his assistance throughout the week. Karisma, this guy is a true gem and a credit to your organization! And fellow travelers, if you're lucky enough to get him on your vacation, you're in great hands :)

Another employee who was such an amazing help to us during the week was Restaurant Concierge Ivelisse. Vegans, please make sure you talk with her! This delightful woman, who you will currently find mainly at Sugarcane and Zest, coordinated with all the chefs for all our meals to ensure that we always had stellar vegan options available. She greeted us warmly every day and continually offered to help us and speak with the chefs if there was anything else we needed. In the past, we have had fairly good experiences at the other Karisma resorts in getting the type of food we needed...but there were several occasions where we were promised well ahead of time that the chef would accommodate us, and then we'd get to a restaurant and find they were not really prepared for us at all. Not so with Sensatori Punta Cana!!! We were totally blown away every day by the variety of vegan/vegetarian food they offered in general, as well as by the amazing meals that the chefs specially prepared for us. Chef Alejandro at Sugarcane met with us during our first breakfast and made sure we were well taken care of; after Ivelisse made our dietary needs known to him, he helped communicate with the other chefs to ensure that we would have options at each restaurant during the week. Everyone was so helpful and obliging. In particular, Chef Justiliano made us a delicious vegan candlelight dinner on the beach (I'll attach photo of vegan beach dinner menu options). He also made us several special dishes at Zest during the week, like a fabulous chickpea veggie stew and a veggie ratatouille. He was super friendly and accessible. Chef Felix at Spacewalker created 3 delectable off-menu dishes for us...vegetable tikka masala, veggie quinoa risotto, and pasta pomodoro. Quite a feast! He also came out to see us and make sure were were happy with our meal. Be sure you try the unbelievably fantastic vegan creme brulee (Verdello, sometimes other locations), and there is also a coconut milk tapioca dessert (Wok Wok). All the restaurants had almond or soy milk available -- including the coffee shop, Doppio. We totally overdosed on soy lattes throughout the week, lol. I'm afraid I didn't get all their names, but the ladies working at Doppio were always really friendly and gracious.

So many members of the staff made a huge impression on us during our stay. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the lovely ladies of the Prestige office...Karla, Fairy & Karina. From their warm greeting upon our arrival, to the painless member update (additional shout-out to Jorge!), to their help with straightening out some transportation snags -- they were absolutely wonderful! Nelson, a waiter at Zest, was very personable, helpful and funny. Vinicio, our usual waiter at Sugarcane and Zest, always had an exuberant greeting for us and terrific service for our breakfast and lunch meals. Francis and Jose did a great job serving our beach dinner. Francisco, the assistant manager of restaurants, checked in with us several times. And Jonathan, our Prestige beach butler, ensured we had all our towels and drinks we needed at the cabanas.

We loved our stay here so much that we have already booked again for next year! We're very much looking forward to seeing all our new friends again :)

Room tip: Building 7 was quiet and peaceful...close to the gourmet village, and just a short walk to the pool/beach area.

Incredible setting, nice beaches. Big pool area. The entire grounds were maintained really well. The pool area was a great place to hang out as was the water park. Some rooms had a pool right outside of the back door. Every night in the main part of the resort they had performers and it was nice place to hang out with the kids or as a group of adults if the kids had went to bed.
The food left something to be desired. It was not bad, but it was nowhere close to five stars. Maybe I was expecting too much and since this is a family oriented resort perhaps I just had too high of expectations for the food to be really good.
The staff was very friendly and liked to make sure we had a good time. I will say some in our group were drinking a lot and sometimes it was hard for the staff to keep up but they were always friendly and smiling. We had a great time and it was truly a trip we will all never forget and was a very special time. It is paradise there. Not 5 star but a spectacular time.

Just about to finish a lovely 10 day break here. Absolutely loved everything about this place. Room was modern and spotless and serviced to a very high standard on a daily basis. All the restaurants were exceptional. Jonathan did a great job on the beach looking after us and most of all Henry Matos our concierge took care of everything from our restaurant bookings to daily cabana made this a truly exceptional holiday. Cannot fault a thing all the staff work very hard and are a credit to the hotel. Will definitely return.

We stayed at building 4 which was almost in the middle of the resort.close enough to village ( all resturants) and pool/beach.
I start with possessives: clean , friendly staff, fun for kids , helpful front desk and smooth check in / check out. The reception had all ready for us upon arrival, they upgraded our room for free. At the check out , gave us late check out since our flight was in the late evening which was very appreciated.
Waterpark was great for kids and lifeguards made it so amazing and so much fun ( Louise Angel, Benjamin and Uncle Louie) . My boys were just staying in the waterpark all the time and didn't want to go to pool or beach ( we tried once but was a disappointment).
Staff at resturants were awesome ( Felix at Sugarcane, pedro and Carlos M at Zest) they did a great job.
Kids entertainment was good ( good for smaller kids), some of the Nick team were making it so special for kids ( Carlos and Yenfri Nick) other than just doing it as a job.
Cleaning staff were doing a super great job; rooms and facilities were very clean.
Food was ok but not the best.

Negatives: very uncomfortable beds. We came back with back pains. Alcohols are all water down and hardly can find a good brand ( not a resort/ place for drinking).
Personal Concierge are useless and not helpful. All are requests either not done or done incorrectly.
Not a nice beach . It was dirty with lots of plastics and garbage on the shore.
We did not have a good experience with kids club. My boys only stayed for 1 hour and didn't want to go back.

I would say compare to other resort (to my experience) , this resort is s 4 star not a 5.
