Right in the heart of the town of Baiona, Galicia El Mosquito Pension is perfectly situated! Sandwiched between the main road overlooking the marina and the first ally in the interior of the town you'd be hard pressed to find a better located hotel for a brief stay in Baiona. We stayed here in order to review the hotel for our wedding guests as we wanted to know first hand what they could expect before recommending it and we're very pleased to say that this is a great little place to stay.

The rooms aren't going to be the biggest you've every stayed in but of their size they are perfectly appointed. Each room has either a double or twin beds which are very comfortable and new, in fact all the hotel is brand spanking new with new modern facilities. The bathroom is very modern with a nice rainhead shower as well as modern fittings it is functional and appealing. When we arrived we checked in slightly early without any issues, we stayed on the second floor and some other rooms were being aired after being serviced and can say that all rooms come with a flatscreen LCD TV and are just as fresh and new as the others on this floor. Rooms 201 & 202 overlook the back ally where the restaurants are as well as the trendy gin bars are later in the evening. We were in room 205 which is on the side ally without any views however rooms 206 & 207 are sea view rooms directly overlooking the marina across the road.

Wonderful location, great staff and all for Travel Lodge money!!!

Unfortunately we didn't take any photos but there isn't a single thing to worry about as it is completely newly refurbished. We even spoke with the Priest who blessed the new renovations so good luck all around :0)

Room Tip: From ally to sea front rooms are 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206 & 207.

Great location. The hotel has recently been refurbished and the room, despite compacted, had all the stuff needed and in perfect conditions. Really clean. Staff was very kind and friendly. Right in the middle of the heart of town. I would definitely come back to this place.

Don´t get fooled by the word "Pension" - El Mosquito, in particular the rooms with a view to the harbour (room 105 and 205), is a good as a five-star hotel. And for an incredible price as well - 66 euros per night the room with a view. Clean, wonderful and helpful staff, great location, views to die for, El Mosquito is a wonderful, wonderful place to explore Baiona, Islas Cies and the Rias Baixas. We will definitely return there next year!

Room Tip: Rooms 105 and 205 are by far the best

First, the hotel is set on the coolest backstreet in all of Baiano, Spain. There are restaurants, bars, shops and hotels, including this one, which also has a very good restaurant on the main street across from the marina. My wife and I were here for three days in early June 2016 before walking the Portuguese Costal Camino and had a fabulous time. . The hotel is located very near to several beaches, Fortaleza de Monterreal, the marina and boardwalk. The rooms are newer and very clean. The staff was very helpful and instructive on where to go to find supplies, laundry facilities and, of course, good wine (which by the way was everywhere.) We would definitely stay here again and recommend it as a reasonably priced and perfectly situated place to stay in Baiona.

Very friendly staff, nicely and tastefully remodeled rooms. Two of the rooms have outstanding views over the harbor but can be somewhat noisy with the street traffic, both cars and pedestrians. Sadly, no breakfast in the morning, but there are plenty of options nearby.
