Having spent 4 nights at the Hotel and returned to England we have been trying to think of something which might have made our stay even more wonderful. In all honesty L'Avenida just runs off the edge of the imagination. The service is impeccable - a big thanks to Laura and Matt our ever attentive hosts. The rooms are exquisite, both cool in temperature and design and the hotels location is ideal for shopping and eating in the numerous splendid tapas bars and restaurants. Many thanks, we will return.

Given all the rave reviews, our expectations were set very high.

The service and friendliness of Matthew, Laura and Emiliano were simply outstanding, and impossible to fault. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth and hospitality was never less than 100%.

The location is in the town itself, which we grew to like very much. Soller is a lovely old town, and a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the port which is only a 5 minute car ride away.

The hotel is small and unusual. The common areas are very elegantly done, but the room we had on the first floor with a terrace, was adequate only. It was perfectly clean and functional, but not at all luxurious, and there were one or two minor issues. The staff were so nice and friendly that we did not want to raise these issues! We looked at a top floor room which was much larger with a much better feel, but still furnished on the minimal side.

Overall, we would go back to L'Avenida. My advice to travelers to Mallorca is to split the trip, spending some time here, and some time elsewhere on the Island (perhaps Formentor?)

Room Tip: top floor rooms (no terrace!) much larger and more light than 1st floor rooms, but terrace here is a nice feature.

Very stylish boutique hotel in a quiet street away from the main square, but very central. Friendly and attentive service. Excellent breakfasts and lunches. We had a very large, light room on the top floor with views of the hills throught the 2 large windows. A great place to unwind with a pleasant pool area and welcome shaded area for breakfast and lunch, or a drink.

I chose this hotel as always after reading previous tripadvisor comments and recommendations. I have to say if completely lived up to the expectations. It was just as I imagined from other visitor reports.
I booked my car hire before I read the hotel reports so was a little put off when some people commented on some difficulties with parking in the area but I need not have worried. The direction from the airport were perfect, very easy taking us 40 mins from setting off from Palma. When we arrived at lunchtime Matthew offered us a glass of Cava, that was a lovely touch, we sat outside and drank it on the terrace while waited for our room. Matthew sorted out the car parking meter when we got there, we found a spot just outside the hotel but there was also a car park just opposite that held plenty of space. Matthew even took himself off the local shop to get us some euro change as we arrived with only notes. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room and bathroom were beautiful. The air-con was excellent, the room was a welcome sanctuary away from the midday heat.

Soller is a beautiful traditional working Spanish town. It has retained it's charm and is a great base for exploring the local area. There are some great walking routes my favourite was from the Mirador to Cala Tuent a 3.5-4 hrs trek through the mountains out to the coast. You can have a swim in the sea at the end. If you want a short 45 minute walk the little village of Fornalutx is just up the hill and you can wander past the lemon and olive groves, there are a few cafes in the square where you can have a nice beer.

I would recommend the tapas restaurant Ca'n pintxo about 2 min walk from the hotel on the way to the main square. Lovely staff, very relaxed and a nice leisurely meal there, the tapas arrives at different times and you can graze your way through an extensive tapas selection. I would recommend booking if you want a table outside.

I will be returning to hotel L'Avenida in the future. Laura and Matthew do a great job as hosts full marks !!

Room Tip: We had a balcony room over looking the pool a great place to have a Gin and Tonic at night very tranquil

We spent an amazing week at L'Avenida in June 2012. The hotel exudes style and is a little oasis of calm, perfect for us to relax and unwind. Matt, Laura and all the staff really went the extra mile to assist in any way they could, from service within the hotel to recommendations for the local area. They were both attentive and discreet, for us the perfect hosts. The hotel is only a short (2min) walk from the main sqaure in Soller, which has a number of good restaurants and the Saturday market. This is also where you can get the tram down to Port Soller. We stayed in a Luxury suite on the top floor, with a room at the front looking out over the mountains. The suite is HUGE, very comfortable with plenty of space and lots of nice features and details. Being on the 2nd floor also offered an additional sense of privacy that maybe the ground/1st floor rooms wouldn't have. Breakfast was continental style with plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats and pastries, served buffet style around the pool. There is also a short lunch menu which we found to be delicious, and perfect with some cold bubbly! L'Avenida are happy to arrange taxis for you as needed. The hotel is only a 30min transfer from Palma airport, so very accessible, and only a 5-10min drive down to Port Soller with its beach and restaurants. Overall, the small intimate nature of this chic hotel really is its best feature, it sits comfortably against the stunning backdrop of the local area. Would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a quiet, relaxing escape - will definatley go back!
