This hotel is walking distance to everything you want to do and see. It's middle of the road for a small town in Greece. Food was good and decent choices. It's quiet and a little way off the busy roads in town. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: No recommendation here. Rooms are pretty much the same.

This is a nice hotel, very well located near the town center. Easy to find parking. Friendly staff. The room is a little bit on the small side. The same goes for the bathroom. Good breakfast, with a wide variety of choices.

So this is conveniently located in the town center and is perfect..our room was slightly smaller than average but not inconveniently so - the shower room is small though.

There is a balcony attached and the whole feel is quite nice..Friendly staff is a plus. Its quite reasonably priced too!! We were happy :-)

PS: It has a good spread of breakfast but no other meals are available (they have ensured you have all information of where you can dine with these pamphlets that have info about the closest restaurants!)

I came with family, in a party of 4, and we arrived by car. The Rex Hotel was easy to find, easy to park on the street outside; if we had booked a hotel in the narrow lanes of the old town it would have been a different story.

Upon entering the Rex, it has an old fashioned charm and the lobby is quite impressive. The woman on the reception desk was very welcoming and helpful and had good English. Our room (a family room) was on the 1st floor and had a balcony, which was very nice. The room was a good size and the bathroom a decent size, too. It had a tiny bath with shower over it and enough surfaces for wash bags.

The double bed was quite comfortable, a little soft for me, but fine. As the temperature was high (it is August!) we found the room got too hot without a/c and so we had the air con on most of the night, which was noisy. The room itself seemed quiet: no noise from other guests and we weren't disturbed by noise from the road outside. I think the price for the room including breakfast was good and I was very happy with it.

Breakfast was ok: it felt like someone who didn't care about food was planning to feed business guests or tour groups. There were pastries that were too pale; bread that was nothing like the delicious local bread in other hotels and restaurants; there was ok tea and coffee, standard ham, cheese, a sort of bacon; but with such fantastic seasonal fruit everywhere, they had water melon and tinned peaches, and tasteless tomatoes.

The hotel was really convenient: turn left out of the hotel and you see the port area ahead of you, with the lanes of the old town then off to the left from the port. There were lots of restaurants just a short walk away. At the port area, you can admire the big yachts and do touristy things, like take a boat trip over to the fortress castle on an island; take a tourist bus tour or a land train tour of the old town.

Napflio is pretty, especially around the lanes of the old town. It is famous for worry beads and it seems almost every shop in the old town sells them. There are restaurants spilling out on to the narrow streets and squares where the locals come with their children in the cool of the evening. We enjoyed our visit, although for us a day there was probably enough.
