Just back from 4 nights in this hotel. We were reasonably impressed by what we got for the price but there are a number of slight negatives that readers may need to be aware of. The negatives first :-
We had problems initially finding the hotel as it is on the edge of town and is situated up an extremely steep hill. The centre of town was about 10 minutes walk away - not too far but with a very steep last section on returning to the hotel. The hotel has around 15 rooms and we felt that parking might be a bit of a problem at busy periods. Also, room walls seemed to be a bit thin so noise from other rooms did tend to carry.
However, on the plus side.
The rooms were modern, spacious and well equipped - double bed, single bed, settee and chair. We had a room on the first floor which was SW facing so we got the afternoon sun as we sat on the balcony taking in views of nearby Palamidi Castle and the Gulf of Argolis. The small kitchen was adequate for in-room cooking if required. The bathroom was modern but, it seems like many Greek bathrooms, had a hand led shower with no wall attachment. The room was immaculately clean and the bedding and towels changed every day. So, all in all, we thought that, for the price we paid, we had got a good deal. The hotel management were friendly and as helpful as limited English permitted.

In a peaceful location of a stunning beauty, Vassilis Hotel revives and fulfills Greek hospitality as an ancient tradition. A warm welcome and a most willing service and response to anything we needed! As for the price, it was more than reasonable! We absolutely recommend it!

Stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel and enjoyed everything. Best amenities for the price paid, great view on the Argolis bay and very large room with kitchenette. The location might be a bit astray from the downtown but we have traveled by car and had no problem going down the steep slope from/to the hotel and park easily somewhere convenient.

Room Tip: get a room with a view to the bay - they all have large balconies

This hotel perched on the side of hill close to old town Nafplio had its' pros & cons It was within walking distance to old town which is area one would want to visit. It's about a 15 minute walk On returning you do have a steep hill to climb before arriving at hotel

The rooms are large with a small kitchen & dining area. Since breakfast is not included this was perfect. We bought coffee, fruit, yogurt, & pastries & ate in each morning
There is a coffee & snack machine by the office

The room was very clean & each day fresh towels were provided & room cleaned & bed made

The downside was being located in an apartment area. The hotel is 3 levels & we suspicioned 3rd floor renters. We were on 1st right next to office. It could be quite loud when we were there. Fortunately, we left by 9 am & didn't return until 6 then go out to dinner by 7. People have dogs in their apartments so barking going on lots of time but not during the night

The man who checked us in did speak English but only saw him once in 3 days. There is parking but it's limited but we're always able to get a spot These are things to consider. It was fine for us since only there in morning & at night

We stayed here for three nights. The view from Room 9 was beautiful. We're fairly fit but the climb to the hotel was pretty tiring on 30+ degree days! However it was nice to be in a local area and the hotel room was very clean. Not much in the way of kitchen items but we managed to rustle up some meals. 10-15 minute walk to a delicious bakery (Central Boulangerie), the markets on Saturdays, and town.
