Went to the rooftop for a drink and a henna tattoo which is done by the lady that works in the hotel, she did a lovely intricate design and gave us great aftercare advice, we were both really happy with the service!

We went to the rooftop cafe for drinks and loved it. The view was incredible, the lady who runs the hotel was so friendly, and chatted with us for a long time. She even did henna for us. Plus, the tea was delicious. Definitely recommend!!

Amazing place. Really great value rooms (those on the first floor much better than those on ground floor) and amazing food served on rooftop restaurant. Family-run, you’re made to feel very welcome. Great spot to be during kite festival!

We went to this hostel during Holi fest, so prices were very high. We liked the room, but the service is terrible. The owner is a terrible woman who only wants to take your money.

She will try anything: givibg you a wrong ticket with what you had from the bar, telling you you have to pay extra charge for making the bedsheets dirty... Everything! We asked her to book a bus for us and she told us she could not give us a reciept because it was Holi... Whaaaaaat?

Then she took out some food, said it was free, so we ate it and thanked her, she brought more and more, and finally said: ok, so this this and this was free, but this wasnt, so you have to pay for it... We never even asked for any food!!

All the time she's trying to scam you, so although the hoatel is nice, with nice location, its just not worth having to be all the time watching for her not to charge you for more things.

Clean, tidy, and close to the market, this guest house is going through a fairly ambitious expansion programme which the owner has had to pause due to high building costs. So the new rooms are very clean and spacious (though a bit lacking in character) but the place has a kind of half finished air - not helped by the fact that I was the only person staying there! Go with friends if you can. Agree with other reviewers that the owner can appear a bit diffident when she is in fact very nice: she gave me great advice about the dangers of straying too close to the touts around the lake and even awarded me my personal good luck charm!

Room Tip: Watch out for monkeys on the roof terrace!
