If you looking to book a hotel online for Mandu trip then MP tourism is the best option, because no other hotel of Mandu provides online booking. I found the hotel under my budget so preferred to stay there. This hotel is located near a lake. As like other MP Tourism hotels this hotel is also surrounded by greenery , there is also a play garden for kids. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, although the restaurant service and food quality is not good. I preferred to eat Daal Bafle at some other restaurant.

Accommodation options are limited in Mandu. This probably not for those on a shoestring budget, but it won't break the bank either. As it's an MP Tourism property, you expect certain minimum standards, which were all met, even if was lacking in character that only family-run places can provide. We had a basic room, which also had a "living room" preceeding it from the entry, and a storage room in addition to being ensuite. No issues with the room, bar the noisy AC and the ants, but this is India. Pool provided nice relief from the heat. No issues with food in the restaurant, possibly a little overpriced compared to the options in the village. As we went in late April, the lake was nearly completely dry, so we had a view out over the parched lake bed. It is a walk to the town (2km away) but it's a pleasant walk, and you can stop to view the ruins en route. If walking back at night, bring a torch, as the road is pitch black after the village thins out.

Went there in Dec 2011. It is better to spend a night in Mandu to view the 4-5 historical locations and the fossil park. Better to come through Agra Bombay road, can be clubbed with Maheswar. This is one of the two MP tourism resorts in Mandu. Nice AC tents and AC cottages - clean. There is a small pool with a adjoining kid's pool - ok for a splash but not clean enough for a swim. Food is hygienic. Located between Ashrafi Mahal and Roopmati paviliion. Pleasant garden with a lake in the front - which is probably full during monsoon only. Convenient to book online, found some useful MP travel map and information from the reception.

We spend some time in the resort in December 2011; it is well located close to the Mandu attraction. The resort is clean and comfortable and located in a picture perfect green environment. The restaurant has decent Indian food.

The resort can do controlling the Langur’s who frequent the lake facing rooms.

Room Tip: Look out for the Black Langurs in the water facing rooms

Your options in Mandu are very limited and this may be the best one. The only nice rooms are the "AC Tents".... there are only a few of these (they were built less than a year ago and are clean, and nicely furnished). The regular AC rooms are the worst and are quite run-down and dirty. The cheaper non-AC rooms are actually nicer than the AC rooms, though still run-down and dirty. The location of the "resort" is pleasant and the food in the restaurant was ok. Excluding the AC Tents, the rooms in general aren't much better than a typical backpacker-type hotel in India. Despite the overall dumpiness, this is probably the best option for a hotel in Mandu.
