Jehan Numa Palace Hotel

Reviewed 16 September 2012

Enjoyed my stay here. There is something about old fine hotels and this is one. Nice spacious rooms. The food was quite nice, the service was satisfactory. Overall no complaints. I would stay here again on my next trip to Bhopal. Only maybe for Bhopal the prices were a bit on the higher side.

On a nice rainy, misty day, the palace like feel with overwhelming greenery is just so overpowering. A simple walk through the hotel makes you feel like a prince; though the place is not really opulent. In fact, it doesn't give a royal feel, it rather makes you feel at home...so the balance is nice.
Plus great touches:
I had forgotten my charger in the room, but evidently the guy getting my luggage went through the room to check for anything left behind. He got the charger with the luggage.
A path running through the property for horses makes you feel different.
The room had a open space behind overlooking that path, the pool and the greenery, making it a great place to be.
Large mango tree with quaint fountain.
Really long, really impressive swimming pool.
However:
The single bed was just too narrow.
The aesthetics in terms of color etc., is a bit rustic.
The pricing is a bit high.

It was a good stay at the hotel last month. The facilities and spread of the hotel provides comfortable stay.
The location and access from main city is convenient. Would recommend the hotel to corporate travellers.

Food and service are commendable.

However its priced a bit too steep.Especially food - buffet spreads are costly, nonetheless good if you enjoy food.

True to its name, the hotel offers a royal treatment which is not visible in a non metro.Their buffet is quite elaborate and delicious.I loved the customer service experience right from check in to room services. They have well behaved and well groomed staff. The room was well laid out with all the facilities. The only thing which I missed was view from the room. However,we enjoyed the swimming pool and health club.
The spa services are quite good and reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view,Preferably not on ground floor.Pool facing rooms are good

This hotel is really good. The service was good and the staff was helpful. The food is amazing and is probably the best part of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious.

It's fun to stroll around the hotel as the property is clean. The pool area is also maintained properly.

We did have a problem with the bathroom however they changed our room instantly and without a fuss.

The photographs displayed of the Maharaja and the life he led is interesting and gives a feel of royalty. This being an old palace adds to the charm of the place.

Definitely a hotel to visit again.

Room Tip: The Cottage Rooms are good.
