Most of the enclosures seemed empty. But we were able to see Tiger and the white tiger roaming around in their enclosures.

It would be more appropriate to call it as a unique mix of a zoo and a wildlife sanctuary.on one side, you would spot the carnivores such as tigers, leopards, panthers, lions, bears and gharials enclosed in their natural habitats, bounded by trenches and walls, on the other end, herbivores like chital, blackbucks and sambars roaming about freely in their natural environs.

Besides spotting animals, the ‘Van Vihar National Park’ also provides you with ample opportunities to see and admire the stunning bird life of the park. There are numerous colourful birds including but, not limited to pied kingfishers, spoonbills, pintails, spot bills, herons and teals.

You will leave with countless memories of wonderful bird watching experience from here.

Van Vihar is a place where you can watch the activities of various animals and birds. You can find animals like Tiger, Lions, Wolf, Bear, Wildcats, Fox, Indian Jackal, Wild Dog, Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Crocodile, Gharial, Snakes, Python and much more.
Its good to visit in winters or when mansoon arrives. The atmosphere looks pleasant that time.
You can also rent a bicycle from there and can also use your vehicles to visit. (Both are chargeable)
It is closed on Fridays and timing varies as per season.

The nation park has a huge water lake. So is a habitat to hundreds of colourful migratory bird. They have tiber, leopard, snakes, crocodile and many more animals in the enclosed cages areas. You can take your own car inside. Must visit for nature lovers and children.
