My husband and I stayed here in September 2012 for 2 nights during our honeymoon.
The place is situated on the Hospet side of the river, a very short walk to the ferry that crosses to Hampi - perfect and convenient!
The accommodation consists of small circular huts with straw rooves and small verandahs - ours also had a long swing seat that overlooked the paddy fields that surround the place - beautiful! The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed watching the odd chipmunk scamper across the thatched roof.
We arrived very early in the morning and immediately sat down for breakfast. The dining area consists of two long tables, and cross-legged seating and plenty of cushions - comfortable and social.
The food was lovely and freshly prepared.
In the evening they try to switch to the solar power generated during sunlight hours, which does mean that the main circuitry is powered down - there are LED lights, but the plugs don't work, and there is no hot water. We were there during September so I don't think there was much solar power stored (end of monsoon season and sunset at about 6:30) so we went back to mains power after an hour or so. I liked the fact they were using solar power, though.
It is a lovely place to return to from Hampi in the evening, also. We had a leisurely dinner in the outside dining area and enjoyed some Kingfisher as the sun went down - the area is all soft lighting and relaxation.
They also have a couple of computers wired up for internet usage.
The staff are also friendly, and helpful.
