The room had a very good view (it was a queen’s room). The people were hospitable and the hotel provided complimentary dinner for all the days we stayed. Overall it was a good experience however speed of services could be improved. The shower area needed repairs.

Room tip: The hotel is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a mall and the entrance is not like the usual hotel / resorts.

I would like to submit that We (me and my wife) had booked this hotel's sweet room with honeymoon package for few days. The manager said that we were the first couple to book the honeymoon package and it was also their first experience to make all the arrangements for the honeymoon..But still everything was great. We stayed in many hotels during our honeymoon journey but the best experience was in this hotel. Our room was beautifully decorated (with roses , balloons etc; pictures attached). Hotel staff also arranged special candle light dinner for us. Further, wine and honeymoon cake was also served and beautifully arranged. They also served kesar milk badam daily. The hotel's breakfast and dinner arrangements including the quality of the food were also excellent. Most importantly the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There was spacious parking space attached with hotel . You will also be offered a taxi to roam around the tourist spots. Lastly I would like to say that you can book this hotel without any hesitation and if you are a couple then definitely try honeymoon package.

Wow experience. Hotel staff is very polite humble and always have YES (with a smile) as an answer. Really enjoyed my visit there. Highly recommended if u r heading to dharamshala. Well organised and buffet with variety of food. Overall a 5 star experience.. Well done guys. Keep it up.

1. 3 star hotel...no 3rd rate property.

Our tour operator said it was a four star property. The internet says 3 star property. I would rate it nowhere near 1 star.
They advertise as hotel in a mall, but the pathetic condition of the so called mall and that of the road leading to this property was very disappointing.

The boasting of "hotel in a mall" gives us an impression of crowded, shiny branded shops on ground and upper floor and our hotel should be tucked in somewhere in it. But here this whole mall had only two shops working.
The road leading to this property is small one way one lane unsafe with traffic that you can not think of strolling outside late night.

The cleanliness of bathroom, and overall property is okayish. No where near to 3 star rating they boast off.

2. Exercise and make new friends at the buffet counter.

Most of our breakfast/ dinner time was like going to and from the buffet counter. You visit buffet counter for Dal and rice and come back with only rice as dal is over. Then visit again for dal and find there is no subzi to accompany. At any given time we found two or three pans have hit it's bottom level.

Food was always so less in pan, I have literally seen two guests near a dish in "पेहले आप" mode. One guest was saying to other, " आप पेहले आये हो तो आप लिजीए" and the other one replying " मेरा तो एक राउंड हुआ है, आप लिजीए" No doubt the food in pan was barely sufficient for one person. These two guests apparently not known to each other but buffet played a role in creating a bond between them. (Pun intended.)

3. Slow staff with fast answers

We had booked two rooms and after dinner had gathered in one room for short leisurely talks. In came a housekeeping staff to make the extra bed. As he opened the bed we noted a large oily spot on bed sheet. We told him to change.
And came a surprise answer from him. "सब बेड शीट पे ऐसेही धब्बे रहेंगे" all bedsheets have such spots.

Our breakfast and dinner time was 8 to 10. Many items from buffet spread disappeared by 9.30 itself.
One of our fellow tourist came down at 9.30 pm for dinner. She casually complained to floor supervisor about cold food. Sharp came the reply आप लेट आये इसलीये खाना थंडा हो गया है। You are late so the food is cold.

4. No managers only supervisors

After getting much annoyed because of no food at the counter, watery daal and subzi being replenished in second round and arrogance of floor staff we insisted to meet f and b manager who is supposedly managing all food related affairs.
We wanted to make the management aware of the sorry state of affairs at ground level and what customers are facing after spending thousand of rupees on the property.
After about half an hour of insistance and persistance and persuasion with the floor staff we were made aware that there is no f and b manager.
Only one general manager unfortunately he was busy attending medical situation at his house. There was no replacement for him at the hotel.
Just imagine all guests and entire property was in hands of only floor staff who were definitely not trained to face, avert or handle any untoward incident.

5. Talk to general manager but don't look into his eyes.

It was unexpected and also unacceptable that the entire property with guests were at the mercy of floor staff who were burdened with daily tasks and not trained to face any out of box situation. If GM is busy with family matters there has to be someone to take his place. But there was no one so we insisted to meet GM even if it was going to make us late in night.

At least and at last the GM came to face us but the way he handled this situation will surely find its way in management books under heading" How to annoy your customers...more"

We could not have proper dinner and were not interested to have next day breakfast with arrogant staff. Instead of finding an amicable solution, apologising , his replies were like
"My staff is not getting salary like 1 lakh rupees that they should talk properly with you."
"Day by day, it is becoming very difficult to run a hotel...You know."
When I was talking to him suddenly he started shouting, "आंखे क्या दिखाता है?". Why are you staring at me?
I just started to figure out how to talk to him by looking the other way.

6. Tour operators favourite choice?

Don't know why, inspite of having so many bad reviews tour operators suggest, sometimes insist on this hotel for their guests. We had also agreed because of our tour operator's insistance only.

The GM who was in all fight mode with us even indicated and made us feel threatened that he could checked us all out with our family and children at mid of that night.
Only when he called up the tour operator his tone changed and became receptive, responsive.
He apologised to tour operator and promised him to compensate for the missed food of customer.
Later when our tour ended the hotel paid us back Rs.3800 for the missed dinner and breakfast of all of us 7 persons.

When we reached hotel there was some misunderstanding between our travel agent and the guy who was on reception. He was not aware that we have booking in there hotel but he sorted out the matter immediately and he gave us both upgraded rooms. Great location and all restaurants one step away. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Hotel staff is very humble and polite.
