My partner and I just returned from Bwindi Lodge after a 3-night stay. We enjoyed every single moment we stayed there, and were so sad to leave!
Bwindi Lodge is a truly magical place, with highly professional and caring staff. Mariana, the lodge manager was lovely and ready to assist you, our butler (felt so flattered to even have one!) Ronald was attentive and so helpful, and all the staff was also very friendly.
We made the booking by contacting the lodge directly and not via any travel agency, and got paired up with Robert who arranged all the activities for us--from picking us up from the Kihihi airstrip, driving to the lodge, facilitating the gorilla tracking and other trekkings and walks. We highly recommend Robert. Super professional and with a strong work ethic, always on time and on point, and making sure you make the best out of your visit.
Another charm of the lodge is that it has a communal dining table, which allows you to meet and talk to people visiting from all around the world. Each night, we had a wonderful dining experience.
We are seriously considering when we can return to Bwindi Lodge, or other lodges of the Volcanoes Safaris!More
