Hisham, the manager of the place is just an amazing guy! He gave us tips regarding our travel and was generally a great bloke to chat with. The food was delicious, local cuisine and good prices. I strongly recommend on visiting this restaurant.

Staff are friendly and they gave us food and drinks pretty quickly. The food wasn't anything special though: they gave us a Mansaaf with chicken instead of lamb, then they tried to convince us that it was the original recipe and only in the end they admitted that they use chicken because it's cheaper. One single portion of mansaaf is 9 JOD though, not that cheap.

The owner Hesham is incredibly friendly at first, but his hospitality seems to have other motives. Female travelers, especially solo travelers, beware.

He will offer to hike with you (which I accepted before things got strange), will offer massage, trips to Little Petra, etc. I agreed to a hike trying to be open minded that perhaps some men can be genuinely friendly. Don't make the same mistake. The hike was uncomfortable and fortunately half way through a couple other hikers joined.

As for the food--most is quite fresh. The kitchen is small and you can see that no meat is being roasted or stewed so maybe stay away from those types of dishes.

This is a simple street cafe with no more than 4 small outside tables.
One thing that you quickly get tired of in Jordan is the hotel buffet. The Bedouin quick bite gave us tasty relief with shwarma and salad freshly prepared for a low price. Dinner for 2 with drinks and tip came to $25US
Service by the young owner/manager was friendly and excellent.

We got to our hotel which was located across the street. As we had been driving all day we were hungry so we went across the street to get a quick bite. The man that was running the restaurant tried to steer us towards the more expensive menu items but we truly were looking for a quick bite such as a sandwich or such. After taking our order for two chicken wrap sandwich's (shawarma) he takes off having saying something in Arabic to another man sitting at a table on the side walk. In about 15 to 20 min he comes back with a bag with shawarms and some fries for us. I was a little taken back by this but being hungry I just went with it.
