We stayed at The Old Village in January, only a week after the hotel reopened. The name is very well chosen, as it looks more like an ancient city with small stone houses rather than a big block building, which gives it a very cozy feeling. The place was very nice and clean, the staff was very kind and careful, and the buffet breakfast/dinners offered a really large choice of excellent food. The heated swimming pool felt very nice after a day's walk in Petra, it's large enough to swim correctly. The hotel is located at the top of the city, which means walking to the entrance of Petra is not really an option (which was not a problem for us).
I happily recommend this hotel !

We spent an excellent 3 nights at this hotel in March. It is clearly new, and still putting a few things in place, but was great value with helpful staff and nice buffet food. Rooms are comfortable and the pool complex modern and clean.

Went to visit the ruins in Petra and site see the canyon. It was awesome but the hotel was really very nice. Our room was very large a furnished nicely. Bedding and towel were good quality. Breakfast buffet was awesome and staff very friendly and helpful. If you ever wanted to just get away and relax, this would fill your every need.

Not a typical chain hotel, locally owned and operated by locals. Accommodations were very clean, with all necessities available to include robes & slippers. Magnificent view & the call of prayer added certain beauty to the venue. Foods were well prepared and presentation was well arranged. Just be warned that this venue does cater to large groups of tourism; inevitably, some groups fail to bring their manners outside their home, and do not know how to apply proper etiquette when dining in a buffet style line.

This really a beautiful hotel. The service was excellant. The breakfast good. Very aesthetic surroundings. Good air conditioning. Interior of the rooms could be better, in the sense that with everything else being so fantastic, the interior of room looks not upto to other parts of the hotel. However it was clean, tidy and quite large. We were a part of a fussy group that walked out losing money in the next hotel in Tiberias. But everyone had only good things to say about this hotel.
