The hotel is an old village that has recently been converted into accommodation. It is clean and the staff welcoming. The buffet breakfast and evening meal are adequate. It is a dry hotel but they don’t mind you bringing your own alcohol and don’t charge corkage. The swimming pool is a welcome place after a day at Petra. It is quiet and that is because there is nothing else around. If you like to wander to bars and restaurants then stay near the other hotels by the gate.
It is very new so there are some snagging issues I hope they sort such as door handles not working and sinks not draining and showers flooding. It is a popular hotel for coach tours and when large numbers of the same groups are in the dining room is noisy and the buffet empties quickly. The staff work hard to replenish.
It is a pleasant place to stay and would recommend it as a quiet retreat. More
