We spent two nights here (Friday and Saturday). On Friday we were so tired sleep was not a problem. But on Saturday a different story. A business located not far from the hotel plays loud music during the afternoon and evening. You must keep your windows open since there is no airconditioning in the hotel and it is impossible not to hear this music. This is probably one of the most continuously annoying experiences on a Saturday night that I have heard ever. I would have given this hotel a higher rating (3stars) but for this one reason, they just dont seem to be able to do anything about it and dont seem to care.
This is a 2 story property located on the south edge of town within walking distance of restaurants, shops, etc. The town is quaint; even though large it is easy to walk around. There are dogs everywhere generally inside fenced yards. In fact, you see property fences literally everywhere.
The staff is generally helpful and a couple of people speak English quite well. Our room was 232 and faced south. We had two full sized beds, a 3 drawer chest, desk, TV, fridge, safe, heaters, but no a/c. There is one narrow window that can be opened. Power is 220V and there are plenty of plugs but no 110VAC plugs. Carpet was worn but not in bad shape; bedside lamps are individually controlled and there is a closet in the room as well.
Breakfast is ok with not a huge variety of choices. Parking is free and they do have a pool inside. If the music issue could be solved only then would I stay here again.
