Our group booked two rooms with different experience. I enjoyed mine but my friends had problems with their AC and toilet. Not much of a discomfort since we spent most times outdoors anyway.
They have a private beach which spans more than 1km shared by various other hotels. It felt very private and peaceful since most tourist were there to sunbathe and relax. No need to worry about boats or beach goers being rowdy.
I wished they had better food at breakfast, selection were mid range and eggs were not cooked to perfection - wanted to eat half boiled egg but it turns out full boiled, both mornings i wanted them. Coffee served was at room temperature, could not dilute the sugar added. On the up side, lotsa tropical fruits, yogurts and even sashimi for those who prefer them.
For my muslim friends, there are halal restaurants nearby the hotel, though not walking distance (we had own transportation since it was a roadtrip).

Dear Zeemir,

Thank you very much for staying with us earlier this year. While I am happy to note that you did enjoy certain aspects, we did not meet your expectations and those of your friends in some other areas. We were closed for renovation from April to November this year and I believe that we have addressed and upgraded all areas highlighted.

Please do give us another opportunity to prove that we can do better. Let me know if I could assist in anyway to make this happen at sanjiva.gautamadasa@amari.com

Thanks again and festive greetings to you and your loved ones.

Warm regards

Sanjiva

Hotel very nice and quiet away from the noise of the town, with great potential, were it not for a new management oriented only to profit.
Particulary the General Manager Mr Sanjiva, at first sight it would seem a very friendly person, but he is a really petty person, false, attentive only to profit, and to customers who complain, those who do not complain will not get any attention.
I've seen him several times have breakfast in the restaurant as a customer and when he arrives we see that the staff is scared of him, and then they will take care only of him and they forget the customers.
I was guest ant Amari Vogue a couple of years ago, i remember there was daily activity, dinner buffet, thai buffet, fire show... but at this time i no longer found these offers, asking the staff, they replied that now the general manager has reduced all the activities because him want to reduce the costs; imho like this the hotel becomes boring and is different from be quiet, this management is suitable for losing customers.

Dear 19markd75,

Thank you very much for staying with us at Amari Vogue Krabi and for taking the time to share your thoughts, I apologise sincerely for not being able to live up to your expectations on this occasion.

Responding to your comments and assumptions in two sections, let me first address the points raised about our resort, its facilities and related services. We have closed the resort for a planned renovation and upgrade that started on 1st May 2019 and will relaunch and re-open again with an improved facility and concept from 01st November 2019. We would love to welcome you back for another stay thereafter having addressed many of the issues raised both in product and in facility, service and offering. I am sure it will be more comparable and better than the stay you experienced a couple of years ago.

On a more personal note, your assumptions related to my character and my management style have been taken note of. Thank you for bringing them to my attention. Constructive criticism is something I always welcome, both personally and professional. It only helps us to perform better in the future.

I look forward to meeting you when you visit again. Do let me know if I could assist with your reservation for your next stay with us.

Warm regards

We visited Thailand for our honeymoon and this was our 1st stop. From the second we walked in we were left in complete awe. From the location, to the hotel, the food and the service everything was beyond exceptional. I believe we had a deluxe room which had a balcony and a tub in the balcony. They had welcomed us with the honeymoon package so our room was covered with rose petals! It was like a dream come true. The hotel itself was small, but the rooms were very spacious with minimal people, which we loved! It was very quiet and romantic, perfect for a honeymoon. We also had dinner on the beach one of the nights, and we had booked a massage in the hotel which was one of the best massage treatments we have ever experienced. Although the hotel is on the pricer end, it is definitely worth it. I don't think it is a place for a family, as there isn't many activities to do at the hotel. There is one pool and only a couple restaurants. I believe this hotel is perfect for anyone looking to strictly just relax! The beach is also beautiful and very clean. We would definitely come again! We went to Phuket after Krabi and we definitely enjoyed Krabi more as is was less "touristy".

We totally enjoyed this gorgeous place. The sunsets are unparalleled, staff is amazing, especially Louis and Tommy at the beach bar. The food was incredible. Fantastic experience overall! While there are many stairs, they are surrounded by gorgeous pools, so one can always chill down. Highly recommended!

Good things: the hotel beach is amazing, really beautiful and quite. If you are looking for a place just to relax and rest this is the perfect place. The hotel isn´t big, you will not find too many guests around, what it was perfect for my husband and I. The rooms are good, spacious and clean. Just 25 min away from Hong Island, is a must to go there, but go in early morning, otherwise you will find hundrends of tourists around. All the food in the hotel is really good and all the staff very friendly. We also did a couple massage in their spa, a bit overpriced. But, maybe a good options for couples or honeymoon, since is so quite and relax.
Bad things: The hotel is overpriced considering what offers, just 2 restaurants, and overpriced for Thailand. To Ao Nang beach 25 min away by taxi, there you can find several restaurants, bars and shops, but again, just to go there the hotel will charge you 1000 bath (quite expensive for Thailand, price for the turist). If you are going in family I will not recommend the hotel, they don´t have activities for them, actually they lack in activities, either for adults, you don´t have anything to do, just relax, enjoy the beach and pool. And be careful with the Jelly fish.
