My husband and I originally visited Amari Vogue in May 2017 when we were looking at resorts to host our February 2018 wedding. We had appointments with six different resorts in the area but Amari Vogue was far superior to any of the other resorts we looked at. We ended up booking Amari Vogue for our wedding before we left Thailand as we loved it so much. We spent the next nine months emailing back and forth with Nana the Resort Operation Manager who organised the perfect dream wedding for us. There was no stress involved with the organisation on our part as everything was taken care of for us by Nana and her team. She liaised and found all of the relevant suppliers for our wedding from the information we provided with what we wanted on our big day. All of the details including table decorations, ceremony set up, flowers, hair & makeup, wedding menus, entertainment etc was all organised for us to perfection. Nana even organised our hen and stag parties for us to take place two days before the wedding, plus a welcome party for all of our guests the day before the wedding.

Fast forward to February 2018, we had a wedding party of 25 people arriving at Amari Vogue for our three-day wedding celebration. Everyone stayed for varying amounts of time, some just for the three days others stayed for up to two weeks. All of our guests were made to feel special and everyone kept saying to me and my husband how amazing the resort is, including the excellent customer service from the staff around the hotel and in the restaurants. Plus everyone commented on how incredible the views were from the resort especially during sunset.

My husband and I stayed at Amari Vogue for 5 nights. We arrived on Monday and our wedding day was on Thursday, so we had plenty of time to go over any last minute details for the wedding. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. Nana and Patrice the General Manager were both waiting for us in the hotel lobby to welcome us on our arrival. We arrived mid-morning but Nana had ensured our room was already prepared for our arrival and personally showed us to our jacuzzi suite on the top floor with the most amazing views of the hotel and beach, including views of the Hong Islands in the distance. We were also given a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in our room. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived to when we checked out.

My hen party included all of the female wedding guests receiving manicures and pedicures in the breeze spa. Nana organised with the spa manager a special rate for our group booking plus they even brought in extra beauticians to cater for all of our guests. Afterwards, a table was organised for us for dinner in the Bellini restaurant, where we enjoyed a lovely evening being serenaded by the fantastic duo band Julien and Jewin.
My husband's stag party was organised to be at a local restaurant and bar in a nearby town. Nana organised all of the reservations for the party including the transportation which was two state of the art minibuses with lights and music inside. The men were chauffeured around all evening to the various establishments and brought back to the resort at the end of the night.

Our welcome party was absolutely perfect the staff went above and beyond organising canapes and cocktails by jet pools overlooking the beach. It was a private area just for our wedding guests. Everyone had a fantastic time and the staff were amazing. The canapes were delicious and each canape was on its own little dish so it was easy for guests to choose what they would like to try. They even prepared some extra vegetarian food especially for our vegetarian guests so they didn't go hungry. After the welcome party finished the staff prepared three large tables on the lawns for us for dinner at the weekly fish market at the Bellini restaurant, where you could choose fresh fish and it would be cooked for you on the bbq and brought to you with a selection of vegetables and bread.

The wedding day exceeded all of our expectations. Nana prepared a separate room for myself and my bridesmaids so we could get ready without being disturbed or anyone seeing us before the wedding. Hair and makeup were organised for us by Nana, with one man doing our makeup and a lady doing our hair. As I was the bride I showed the hair and makeup people photos of how I wanted us all to look. My makeup was done first, with the makeup guy spending a good 1.5 to 2 hours just doing my makeup. He even applied false eyelashes and spend at least 30 minutes making my eyebrows look perfect. My makeup was exceptional and it lasted all day and night in the heat. He didn't spend quite as long on the bridesmaids but they still looked amazing. Our hair lady did all of our hair exactly how I had asked, and again like the makeup guy, our hair stayed in place perfectly all day and night. Nana and Woody checked us every hour to make sure everything was going perfectly. The wedding ceremony was incredible, the set up was beautiful on the beach with flowers and an archway covered in flowers for me and my husband to stand under during the ceremony. All of the guests had a chair to sit on with chair covers with ribbons and flowers. The general manager Patrice was our celebrant and he did an amazing job conducting the ceremony. We had photographers and videographers capturing the entire wedding which were organised by Nana. After the ceremony, there was a photo session on the beach, followed by our reception on the lawns. The reception set up was incredible, with four large round tabled and a top table for the bride and groom. All of the guests had a name tag with an individually printed menu and drinks card, plus a wedding favour. The centrepieces were beautiful flowers. The service for the food and drinks was perfect for the evening, the staff worked incredibly hard to make our evening amazing. All of the guests thought the food was delicious. We also had various entertainment for the evening which was also organised for us by Nana. There was a fire dance show on the beach, we also had traditional Thai dancers, plus the duo band Julien and her husband sang our wedding playlist for the entire wedding reception, they even learnt numerous new songs especially for our wedding. Everyone went above and beyond to make our dream wedding come true. Our wedding cake was beautiful and looked exactly how we had asked and tasted amazing. All of our guests kept commenting how it was the best wedding they had ever been to and how the resort was incredible. That evening our room was made up with flowers on the bed and rose petals in our jacuzzi bath. It was beautiful.

The morning after the wedding Nana organised for us to have breakfast on our balcony so we could relax and not have to rush down to breakfast. There was so much food! We were very spoiled and spent the morning enjoying our breakfast and relaxing in our jacuzzi bath on the balcony. We also invited our guests to join us in the celebrations. That afternoon Nana had organised with the spa manager for me and my husband to spend three hours at the spa, which included a steam, full body scrub, massage and facial. We were very relaxed after all of our treatments, waiting for us afterwards was mango an sticky rice in the shape of a heart.

On our departure day, we had an evening flight so Nana organised for us to have another room in the resort for the day after checkout so we had somewhere to shower, relax and keep our bags before we had to leave.

Overall Amari Vogue is the best hotel we have ever been to in Thailand, the staff are all amazing and do everything to make your stay perfect. The General Manager Patrice makes an effort to speak to all the guests every day to make everyone feel special and welcome. There are so many little touches which make the hotel superior, including every evening housekeeping, turns your bed down and leaves a different healthy tea and biscuits for you to enjoy. There are two happy hours a day where the staff make fresh fruit cocktails and even bring little complimentary snacks. The staff give you complimentary water in the lobby every day if you ask for it. During the day by the pool and beach, the staff come round every so often with complimentary fruit sticks. On the sun loungers on the beach, the staff even come round at various times and brush the sand of off your lounger. The kayaks are complimentary to use every day from the Bellini restaurant. There are so many little perks to this resort, its the perfect location for any occasion be it a family holiday, wedding, honeymoon, romantic break for two etc.
My husband and I can't wait to go back to Amari Vogue for our wedding anniversary next year. Plus I know many of our guests loved the resort and also hope to return. Everyone who attended our wedding wished they had booked to stay longer once they had arrived! Amari Vogue is perfect and has everything you need for a relaxing trip to Krabi.

Room Tip: Higher floor has the best views. The building on the left has slightly better views than the right side.

Only Marie Antoinette could find fault with the service. There were too many small but significant personal gestures to list in detail. The staff should be highly commended.

We stayed in a standard deluxe room, which was spacious and very comfortable, in the main building. The only drawback was the number of steps – 100 from the hotel elevator to the beach. But the hotel has many steps in general, so if you stay in one of the more expensive units closer to the beach then you will find yourself walking up just as often as we walked down. The hotel layout maximizes the available site, which is rather narrow and steep. The four pools are quite nice and varied – suitable for romantic couples as well as families with children (and that is no small achievement). The beachfront is narrow – while they squeeze the maximum number of chairs into the available space, it can be difficult to find an open lounge chair by the pool or the beach. As a result, people tend to go down early to “stake out” places with their towels, and seem to keep them reserved this way all day, even when they are not using them. This is unfortunate, since there would be enough for all if people were a bit more considerate. And I admit that we found ourselves doing the same thing, after being “closed out” on our first day.

Breakfast was very good, with a very broad range available. It was very relaxed, with all items kept “refreshed” at all times, no matter what time we chose to eat. The open-air Bellini restaurant near the beach was pleasant for both lunch and dinner. It would have been nice, however, to have more options for excursions elsewhere in the evening. The hotel offers shuttle service to Ao Nang during the daytime (for a minimal fee), but for some inexplicable reason there is no shuttle service offered anywhere in the evenings. The only options are rather expensive taxis.

We would also recommend that the hotel reconsider its pricing for massage treatments at the spa. The spa is quite nice, but the treatments are expensive, especially in light of the fact that Thai massages are offered privately just a few meters walk down the beach. The ambiance of the latter is much less sophisticated, of course, but I suspect that the spa would do a much more vigorous business if the prices could be reduced by half (which would still be twice what they charge on the beach).

All in all, we loved our four night stay, and we would definitely consider returning.

Although we live in KL, Malaysia, we had not taken a trip to Thailand before so to discover that it only took an hour or so's flight (same time as flying to Penang) to get to Krabi was a great surprise. It means we can consider this a weekend break destination - and we will be back again.
The big draw is the sunset - Amari Vogue is perfectly placed to view the most magnificent sunset ever. You can reserve a table at the restaurant to watch the sun go down as you eat - an incredible experience.
I noticed other reviewers commenting about the lack of other eating opportunities and the fact it is a long taxi ride to other bars and restaurants - if that's what you want, then maybe Amari Vogue isn't for you and you should stay nearer the town, but we were very happy with what was on offer. There are a couple of good seafood restaurants along the beach if you want something else.
We were upgraded on arrival to a one bedroom villa with a pool and that was marvellous - when we go back, we'd book that instead of a room. The private pool was good to relax in, though it was showing its age and the mosaic tiles were coming off. This didn't detract from the experience though.
The staff were lovely - friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. They even realised it was my birthday and brought me a cake!
The downside - there's building work going on next door, even on Sundays, but it wasn't too bad. Irritating to be woken early. It's built on a hill so there are many, many steps....
Overall view? It's a great hotel and one that we will return to. It's perfect for the shorter break - there's probably not that much to do on a longer stay. It gets a definite recommendation for the perfect weekend break from us.

Researched hotels extensively because I suffer from arthritis and no mention on website of multiple flights of steps and lack of elevator to various levels. Room beautiful but unfortunately was right next to building work so woken at 8am every morning and the hotel couldn't move us. Booked direct with a promise of one way airport transfer but hotel would not honour this but put a credit on our account instead but this meant it had to be used in the hotel. The hotel did provide dinner on the last night where we were entertained by a wonderful singing duo and a special mention for Wanna a lovely lady who seemed to be everywhere and is a credit to the Amari Vogue. Unfortunately this did not make up for the pain experienced due to steps and lack of sleep.

Room Tip: Check you are not on left hand side with ocean behind you that is the side a new hotel I'd being built

My husband and I wanted a relaxing, beautiful, and quiet location for our honeymoon. We stayed here for 5 days and it was everything we could have wanted.

Location- absolutely stunning. It is located right on the beach and there is some construction happening on the north side of the hotel but it wasn't very loud. On the plus side, this allowed the hotel to be at the end of a string of hotels on the beach meaning more space/less crowded beach area. The only tough side though was that it is very remote. We personally liked the quiet but when we wanted to go to a different restaurant that would be more affordable, we ended up paying 500 baht to and from the hotel. The taxi fee and the cost of the meal ended up being the same amount as if we stayed at the hotel.

Room- spacious and clean. The décor was beautiful and the attention to detail is lovely.

Pools- three pools to choose from. All lovely in their own way. Nice way to cool down under some shade. The chairs by the pool were comfortable as well. The elephant statues spraying water from their trunks were a nice touch.

Staff- friendly and cheerful. The staff at the restaurants were very attentive and kind. Concierge and people at the front desk were knowledgeable and helpful.

Food- great food but definitely pricy. We personally loved the Thai restaurant which for some reason was not really that packed too often. Bellini, their other restaurant, had a great view of the beach but we were not as impressed with their Italian dishes especially since the iron chef is known for Italian food. However, we did order the prawns one night and it was absolutely delicious. So if you go to Bellini, I would recommend ordering their Thai dishes over their Italian dishes. They also had a happy hour at Bellini everyday from 5:30-6:30 pm for half of drinks to watch the sunset. The sunset was probably the favorite part of our day. Absolutely stunning.

Overall, great experience and would go back again! :)
