I stayed at the hotel for a day however enjoyed the time. Staff of the hotel is very cordial and cooperative. Nice peaceful place with a well maintained ambience. Food quality is really good, with well mannered table etiquette. Also had an opportunity to utilize the aryashala facility, good trained person who has carried out massage.
Overall a good and happy stay, i recommend you to stay here, if you visit Marari Beach area of Alappuzha.

The room that was allotted to us was very spacious. The ambience of the room is warm lights. The property is right at the shore, a complete switch off from the city’s sound pollution. The food is incredible. A huge thanks to the staff who helped make our stay more comfortable and a memorable one.
We visited El Oceano beach with friends from 31/12/19 to 03/01/20 as we wanted some R & R after a full on tour of The Golden Triangle and Munnar in Kerala
We stayed in 2 adjoining heritage rooms which were large, spotlessly clean with en-suite and a super king size beds.
We thoroughly enjoyed the New Year’s Eve party and the buffet dinner which offered over 20 different main courses as well as beautiful barbecue food. The staff could not do enough for us during our stay the Manager Vinod and his staff are so helpful and attentive they really go the extra mile to ensure all visitors have a great holiday.
Although the Hotel is not beach front the local beach is only a 500 meters walk and another more sandy beach is a 200 rupee Tuk Tuk ride away.
Down side not much choice in alcoholic drinks only local beer and wine is available, but that can be said for most of the places we visited in Kerala, also the poolside could do with more sun beds and updated furniture
The manager Vinod has only been in charge for a few months and is so enthusiastic he wants to improve the hotel and amenities. I am sure that he will put his plans in place and El Oceano will be an even better place under his guidance.
We stayed at the beach villa, away from the main property. The Area is peaceful, serene. There is nothing else to do at this place though. Pool and all other stuff are at the main property. So if you have kids and want to keep them engaged, better choose the main property, but it does not have any sea view.
There is beach access from the villas, that's a great thing.
The buffet breakfast is not the usual spread, you get to choose/order from a small set available.

This gem of a place with truly fantastic food, great local advice and a warm welcoming staff should be experienced but all.

The bed is super comfortable and open shower is fantastic.
Nothing was too much trouble for Vinod and Steephean and all the staff were all friendly and helpful. Food served on site was perfect, and guys there had a lot of invention.
I can't recommend them highly enough.
The beach is simple to get to and worth a long walk and time watching the fisherman and the eagles.

Last week we spent 4 nights at El Oceano. We had booked a beach villa, but decided we would rather be at the main site (500m away) near the pool and we were moved quickly and without question to a fabulous room with an outside area where we ate all our meals ( the honeymoon suite!). A few simple issues were resolved immediately, the staff were incredibly attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We wanted to try the local fish dishes so they Bought fish from the fishermen for us specially, every day and cooked the most delicious meals, the chef is excellent!! Everyone from Vinod, the hotel manager ( who checked in with us several times a day to check we were happy) to the lovely ladies who cleaned our room made us feel very special and looked after. The pool is not huge but impeccably clean and the gardens very well kept, the beach is an easy walk away. Very highly recommended!
