We stayed as two couples in two garden villas. Villas with outdoor bathrooms very roomy and clean, no bugs in bathroom. Lighting poor though especially since thatched roof so low down window. Nice tea/ coffee in room. Umbrellas in public places to borrow. One restaurant serving al la carte and buffet. Buffet at lunch 1000INR and evenings 1200INR. lots of choice for all meals, hot food kept on hot plates although often not very warm or even cold. No alcohol served or tolerated outside own rooms. Tea and coffee with meals complimentary. Variety of fruit juice cocktails available about 250INR.
Pool very nice, hardly used by guests so had it mainly to ourselves.
Borrowed some cycles from hotel ( in decent condition, easy cycling) for ride round local rides early in morning before much traffic.
Beach early and late in day interesting with lovely sunsets and local fishermen but BE WARNED in early morning lots of fishermen opening defacating on waters edge which is very off putting. Put us off going in the sea.

Dear Guest

i thank you for being with us and for the review. I am happy that you have enjoyed your time here and the Marari Beach experience. Open defecation on the beach exists but it has come down drastically. We continue our efforts to spread awareness against it and we hope that in future this menace will be curbed for good. I hope to see you back on your next visit this side.

I have stayed many times here and each time it has been an excellent experience. This resort stands apart due to its focus on perfection. Every aspect of the resort is well maintained.

From the checkin to the housekeeping to the food, it always a class apart. The beach front is well maintianed, almost a private beach, very clean.

Kalari performance in the evening was exhilarating.

The only few negatives - there is no bar (probably will come in a few months). Also would like greater seafood variety as this is a seaside resort.

Very nice and clean hotel with a large garden.
Very good villas with large rooms and Beuty fully bathroom placed half outdoor in the room. The restaurant had excellent service and a lot of choices at the buffet and on the menu.
We made a cocking evening and picked spices and vegetables in the hotels garden this was a great experience and a lot of learning. the dinner made was great.
The hotel have their own beach that was fresh and clean. Not for swimming this time of year. Outside the hotel beach there is fishermans and their boats. Nice to see but directly you will se littering and using the beach as toilet.
We also used the Ayriveda spa it was an experience with very nice massage made by 2 persons.
This is the place for peacefulness, auyroveda, youga and good food.
Furthermore the pool is a saltwater pool that has a fantastic feeling to bath and swim in.
There is almost nothing to do outside the hotel.
Not. The hotel has no licence so they do not serve any alcohol.
It's not possible even to get a beer in the bar. The hotel is completely quiet and no common place to meet people after dinner.

We stayed for two nights. Superb property. The cottages we were great and, within the rooms were superb and Hugh with open air bathrooms. Connect with nature !
The pool was great with salt water and the beach was just perfect with spectacular views.

The restaurant was great. We are vegetarians and do not eat onion and garlic.

A special thanks to Chef Chaija who went to great lengths, to prepare a menu for us right from soup, couple of starters and side dishes, main course and desserts. Very sumptuous and filling meals.

Enjoyed thoroughly our two night stay.

Room Tip: All cottages are well placed. Some are pool villas
