“A nice temple.”
Reviewed 1 September 2012

It is very nice to watch the squirrels jumping around the temple at dawn and dusk. Beautiful Bhudda painings. The shopkeepers can get a bit on your nerves, so just ignore them...

“Good toilet break and souvenirs here”
Reviewed 4 August 2012

I am not qualified to talk about the temple. I'm here to tell you that we spent a pleasant morning walking from Old Bagan to Swezigon and here we found it great that they had toilets which are kind of important!!! You dont want to get caught short as you travel around looking at temples, so I thought it important to let people know there is a good one here... just bring some toilet paper..
We managed to get a couple of sand paintings of bagan and a gong for reasonable prices.

“Another interesting temple”
Reviewed 25 July 2012

With so many temples around Bagan, it is easy to get temple fatigue but Htilominlo is one of the temples that you need to see. There is the usual camera fee and of course you have to dress modestly and remove your shoes as with all temples in Myanmar.

“Large temple with some good Buddha statues and plaster carvings”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

One of the more popular and larger (46 metre high) Bagan temples, still in reasonable condition on the outside. Still being maintained as high scaffolding was erected along one side of the outside of the building when we were there. The temple was built by King Nantaungmya in 1211-1218 I think. The inside is much simpler but has some nice carvings on the walls, including horoscopes of some nobles, and plaster mouldings, as well as 4 medium size Buddha statues facing each of the cardinal points.
