My Friend brought us to this restaurant. It is a simple coffee shop but the food is good. I like the roast pork. The skin is nice and crisp and the rest of the meat is tasty. The chilly they provide is spicy hot so use with caution. It was a satisfying meal - Homely comfort food when you are Travelling is the best!

Pontianak is famous for it's unique culinary. It is popular destination for foodies coz there are lots of food originated from here and only can be found here. One of the popular and authentic Pontianak food can be found at "Nasi Akwang". It literally means Akwang's (the owner name) Rice. It sells KOI PENG (translated as Chicken Rice). But the main ingredients of this chicken rice are porks. It is rice topped with lots of thinly sliced char-siouw pork, pork and egg cooked in soy sauce, grilled chicken, chinese sausages, bit of sour mustard and bit of cucumber. Lastly it poured with chicken gravy. We can enjoy the rice with Belachan sauce. Really delicious.

In our hometown, when you say chiken rice or mixed rice means rice with chicken, pork, and egg. Among all chicken rice in our hometown, Nasi Akwang is considered the market leader. It a bit expensive compare to the rest ( only by few thousands rupiah or 20cents USd) but it got best taste. The red colour of its BBQ pork is from chinese herb (ang kak) while other vendors mostly add some food colouring. When i was kid MR.Akwang himself sell this chiken rice and i would like to eat it everyday. Nowadays there are 3 Nasi Akwang in Pontianak and 1 in Jakarta which are belong to his children. Overall still the best in my hometown.
