At age 68-turning 69, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was not on my bucket list, but I was offered the opportunity and took it...and what a wonderful experience.

Let me start with our head guide, Mremi ...what a wonderful human being...great leader with a wonderful team of guides and porters...

For context, I turned 69 while on the climb...and guess what, a birthday cake, and happy birthday sung in Swahili at 15,000 will make this a birthday I will never forget.

I was traveling with another "older" fellow, who celebrated his 63th birthday while Climbing Kilimanjaro, and who shared the same wonderful birthday experience.

The 8 day Lemosho route was perfect for us. Allowed us to get acclimated, each day was doable in terms of time, distance and difficulty. The most fun was climbing the Barranco Wall..

I would highly recommend Jerry Tanzania Tours for anyone considering climbing Kilimanjaro.

Hike to the Summit - February 2018

Our 10 year old and 14 year old daughters summited kilimanjaro with us in the machame route with Jerry Tanzania Tours who we thought was an excellent company with a strong reputation! Our lead guide Rashidi was flexible and understanding of the needs of summiting with a 10 year old and making it fun! Set up with Jerry was easy and Jeremiah was very responsive and knowledgable. (Of note, given the human impact on the mountain, there is some litter seen at times, if everyone could bring a zip lock and just pick up 5-10 pieces per trip it would greatly preserve the beauty for the future!). We highly recommend this adventure!

Great safari

We just came back from a 5 days safari in Tara ngire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Jerry Tanzania. We just can say that it was amazing, way beyond every expectation. We saw almost every animal we expected to see (including serving cat, leopard with cubs, cheetah, lots of lions, also mating and hunting),accommodations were great, landscapes unforgettable. Our guide, Said, was prepared, professional and funny. Highly recommended!!

Great climb up the Lemosho route 8 days - with Jerry Tanzania Tours

From the beginning, Jeremiah was very accommodating in organizing our Mt Kilimanjaro climb. Communication was constant and even dietary requirements were accommodated. The trip itself with lead guide Mremi was exactly as expected. We were fed well and were lead up the mountain at an average easy going 'pole pole '. I really enjoyed my adventure with Jerry Tanzania Tours and the scenery is beautiful along the Lemosho. Thanks for this wonderful trip.

Great Experience with Jerry Tanzania Tours

Had a wonderful experience with Jeremiah's team. Everything was well planned and executed. The guides were well trained and understood the capabilities of each climber and what it would take to make it and when it was not safe to go further; the food was plentiful and excellent; the porters were friendly and a great part of the experience; and the singing was the topping on the cake. By the way, birthday cakes were made for the two of us having birthdays on the trip.
Thank you to everyone involved at Jerry Tanzania for making this trip an experience that I will never forget
