Spent almost a whole month here on business. Wonderful accommodations, friendly, first rate staff, state of the art rooms i.e internet, plenty of charging ports, big comfortable beds, and walking distance from my business at the Galleria. I highly recommend this hotel including the swimming pool. One thing I do miss however, is that there is no hot tub! That would be nice, but all in all a perfect place to rest and refresh.

Dear Rewiredblues,
Thank you very much for spending almost a whole month here at the hotel while on business. If your office was at the Galleria, it must have been a really rough commute to walk a few blocks to work! We are very appreciative of your top marks as we would suggest that your review stands above most since you would have been able to judge the hotel through a good test of time. We can appreciate that you enjoy a hot tub but since we are a newer hotel, the trend with recent builds has been to eliminate that offering. We will begin our pool side food and beverage service starting in mid-April on Saturdays so that will be a good way to unwind on the weekends. We hope you come visit for another extended stay soon.
Sincerely,
John Dallas

The Sonesta Bee Cave is clean and the service is friendly. That is where the positive aspects end. For the price (over $200/night), we expected better amenities and better service. For example, the pool was not heated, there is no Jacuzzi/spa, no room service, and the restaurant had a limited menu and limited hours. At the buffet, we were rushed through because "we have a banquet coming right after brunch." Fortunately, the dining room manager comped our breakfast as a result, but we still fetl it was rude--esp. with no signage or indication this was the case. The room had a nice Keurig machine in the room, which made excellent coffee. However, all three mornings, we had to call for paper/Styrofoam cups to use in the machine. We stayed here because of the wedding venue was nearby and other family members were at the hotel. In the future, there is no doubt we would stay in Austin, closer to activities, parks and shops, esp in this price range. A disappointment.

Room Tip: The restaurant nearby (off-site) All-American Burger delivers to the hotel and has a fantastic menu.

Dear Ken S,
Thank you for the candid feedback and for being our guest while attending a wedding in the area. We can appreciate that you were looking for specific amenities based on the price of the room. Where we can add amenities we will certainly look at those options. We know that ultimately it is always a case of price, location and amenities that drive your decisions and we know that we won't always be the best choice in all cases.
Sincerely,
John Dallas

Modern, spacious and classy hotel in a nice, green area of Texas, Bee Cave, with pool, gym and a very warm lounge/restaurant made of wood and leather furniture at the top floor. Highly recommended for both business and leisure purposes.

Dear Agnes L,
Thank you for the excellent review and for being our guest at Sonesta Bee Cave. With all of the consistent moisture we are happy to agree that we are enjoying one of our greenest spring times in quite a while. This is not always the case in the hill country due to our location but when the lakes are full, everyone is happy! Its a great time to come visit and get out on Lake Travis or Lake Austin as quickly as you can get here. See you soon.
Sincerely,

A new, modern, nicely appointed hotel out west of Austin. Was really impressed by the attention to detail, really nice hardware fixtures in the rooms and the walk-in shower in my room was nice and large. And it was quiet, love that.

Pros: New, modern, clean, and nice. Room had a little mini fridge and K-cup coffee maker. Plenty of parking. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Cons: To me it was a bit far from downtown and a lot of the sights and sounds of Austin (unless you're looking to avoid all that). Fitness center was just ok, a bit cramped.

Dear El_Yeah,
Thank you for being our guest and for a generous review on TripAdvisor. We appreciate that you found so many of our offerings to your liking and the cons we can't do too much about. We realize that many visitors prefer to be in the middle of downtown and knowing that you will pay for that location, we understand how that energy is contagious. As for the fitness room, we also cant make it larger but we do feel it is generously appointed with more than ample cardio and free weights. If you want a full service health club experience we have a Gold's Gym just steps from the hotel and they allow our guests to pay for a daily pass at a very reasonable rate. Lots of boutique fitness clubs in the galleria as well - Barre3, Lagree (pilates) and RIDE indoor cycling just to name a few all within walking distance of the hotel. A good example of why the Austin area is known as a great place to live if you enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. Please come visit us again soon.

We had 2 rooms here for a family wedding at the Wildflower Center, one King & one 2 Queen, both on 1st floor. All in all, a great choice for us while trying to avoid SXSW traffic.

Being in the shopping center made it easy for our whole party to get breakfast/ coffee, water/supplies at Whole Foods, and visit some retail shops. Our rooms' 1st floor location was a blessing, as the elevators are a bit slow.

Rooms were clean and had comfortable beds and big windows, and most importantly the a/c kept us cool. Staff at the desk was helpful & friendly, and shuttle trolley driver Ken was terrific when he drove the dozen of us to and from a nearby dinner.

Dear CabFrancophile,
Thank you for visiting us for a family wedding and congratulations to the bride and groom, we are confident that it was a beautiful wedding. We do have a few rooms on the first floor and that is certainly a great way to have quick access to everything. We hope that you will come visit us again in the hill country.
