Mombo Camp is by far the best safari Camp I have ever seen. The wildlife is abundant. We saw the big five in 2 days. Our guide was incredible. The food was delicious prepared by a South African chef. Our room was magnificent. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

Thakn you for your wonderful review, we are thrilled to see how much you enjoyed your stay with us and glad to see you had so many great sightings. This was the third camp on our trip - we seemed to have saved the best until last! Gorgeous camp, large and delightful rooms, featuring lots of baboons who joined us on the terrace. Superb staff, very attentive and very pleasant. Moss was our guide - who seemed to know the reservation like the back of his hand. Hugely knowledgeable. Took us straight to the highlights and sensed both where the animals were and where they were heading. We saw lions, with and without their cubs, white and black rhinos, hippos, leopards, hyenas, jackals, giraffes. Just wonderful.

Mombo camp in the Okovongo Delta in Botswana is truly magnificent with excellent facilities and delicious food prepared by executive chefs. The game viewing is outstanding including the Big Five with white rhino. This is a “must visit” camp for safari lovers....

Dear Happinick,

Thank you for your amazing review, we are delighted to see you wetre able to see the entire Big 5 as this is not a common feature in Botswana. Only recently have rhinos been reintroduced to the area - to read more about this you can have a look at the Wilderness Safaris website.

Thank you again

Mombo Camp was the last leg of our 8 day safari. It was the best safari camp of the lot. By far. My mouth gaped open upon entering our room. There was a well stocked bar in the sitting area, gorgeous yet simply adorned comfortable bed, a vanity area, a double sink bathroom, toilet with a view, and a gigantic and inviting bathtub. There was a hair dryer! They also lend out hats, and a pair of binoculars to use on the drives. Very thoughtful. Outside the decks there is a hot tub, a sitting area, a daybed, and an outdoor shower. Unfortunately, the baboons got to enjoy my deck more than me.

Our guide OB expertly tracked animal tracks and had a treasure trove of information on animal behaviour and experience he would share with us. In 2 days while tracking a leopard, we saw a rare black rhinos, a white rhino, a herd of cape buffaloes looking to charge us; we almost collided with a baby elephant, and a warthog chased off a hyena. Every game drive is different from the last. A three hour game drive can fly quickly when you’re searching for something. The leopard remained to be seen. I take that as a reason to return again.

Customer service is top end - Robin, Matt, Jonas, Renee, Tsebo, And Kenny are few of the names I remember. They could all easily blend into 5 star boutique hotels. There’s a gym I didn’t use. The gift shop selection is well-stocked. I mean, who buys a DVD (about the famous leopard in residence - thanks to story telling by OB and Tsebo)? Guilty!

Overall a superlative fantastic and unforgettable experience. Pardon my sounding cliche, I left my heart in the wilderness. I will go off now and frame the thoughtful and beautiful print they gifted us as souvenir.

Dear bruceleefan,

We completely agree and you will definitly have to come back to find the leopards :), although we do hope you enjoye the video about Legadima. We are also delighted to see how much you appreciated the design of the rooms and the entire camp - which we are proud to say was recently awarded an SBID International Design Award. According to lead interior designer and owner of Artichoke, Caline Williams-Wynn, “Mombo is the ‘Rolls Royce of the Delta’ with its interior design rooted in its rich history and traditions stretching back nearly 30 years. The design of the tented suites combine traditional and vintage elements with a modern elegance that truly embraces the real essence of Mombo”.
