Sabana Grande is the main main shopping thoroughfare in Caracas Venezuela. It is a broad, tree-shaded, pedestrians-only boulevard lined on both sides with stylish fashion boutiques and gift shops. I recommend you to eat in: Pizzeria Va Bene, El Rey del Sujuk and Arabito. Va Bene is the best! Balú is the best store in the district.

Those who need rest can sit on tree-shaded wooden benches that are placed along the length of the boulevard. Refreshments and/or quick-munch lunches can be bought from fast-food outlets and outdoor cafes sandwiched between the retail shops. Russian tourists love Sabana Grande!

There's no reason to go there, unless you want to live like some local, and be asaulted or something worst.

This is the most vibrant neighborhood of the city. Russian tourists always love to spend their time here. The place is really overcrowded mainly because this is the largest shopping street of Caracas. Be careful with pickpocketing though.

The boulevard greets new banquet of brands and the neighborhood has been improving constantly. Amongst the new brands are Balu, Planet Sports (Adidas, Nike, etc), Mango, Aishop, and more. I encourage you to follow the tips of the hotel and you will have fun.

Caracas is an unsafe city, but the boulevard is relatively safe until midnight. This is the heart of the city and the locals love to hang out there. Many tourists go to Sabana Grande everyday and they don't regret. Do not take out your smartphone in any public place of the city, including the boulevard. Common sense.

There are many things to do:
- The boulevard has many street art pieces. Some of them are new.
- Phelps Museum (Gran Sabana Building): worth a visit.
- Shopping: Balu, Mango, estivaneli, Planet Sports and many brands are coming back to Sabana Grande.
- El Maní es Así: the most popular place in Caracas to DANCE SALSA.
- Pasaje La Asunción (better known as Callejón La Punalada)... Los Peruanos and Sal Si Puedes are the coolest bars.
- Plaza Venezuela - recently restored -.
- Centro Comercial El Recreo.
- Los golfeados de antaño.
- Punto Fijo Building (Quinta Punto fijo).

Stay safe:
- Dress like an average Venezuelan.
- Don't go out with your smartphone. Reach a shopping mall instead.
- Better not to go "Calle el Colegio".
