Memorable Stay, Beautiful Hotel, Helpful Staff, Excellent Location, Great Amenities

Review of Zandiyeh Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 12 May 2024
We stayed at the Zandiyeh hotel during the second week of April 2024 and enjoyed great service. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous and this has left a lasting impression on us.

The hotel is quite beautiful and has elegant decor. It is a luxurious five star property with Spa, Swimming pool and great outdoor seating area. The hotel is next door to the historic Arg of Karim Khan and in walking distance to Nasir Al Mulk Mosque. The rooms are quite big. Similar to hotels in Iran, the hotel also charges additionally for kids greater than 2 years of age. We were not aware of this, as our travel agent had not informed us. We had to pay additionally for our kids at the hotel.

The morning breakfast has quite a spread with multiple options including continental  and Iranian dishes . We are a vegetarian family and we were also surprised to see multiple options available for us during breakfast. There is a nice seating area outside next to the fountain and it's a great place to have morning breakfast. There is also a small outdoor play area for kids to enjoy. Our kids loved it and we also had some relaxing time while the kids were busy 😀.

The hotel staff speaks fluent English and it was very helpful. The concierge staff were quite approachable and helped us to translate while hiring a taxi, giving us directions for money exchange or buying a sim card.

The unexpected turn of events during the night of 13-14 April really showcased us true hospitality and  compassion of the hotel staff. Due to the events that night, Iran airspace was closed and all international flights were cancelled. We were at the end of our holiday in Iran and had limited remaining funds (international cards don't work in Iran), our departure was planned for 14 April.  We were quite worried as the airline emailed that next flight was uncertain and may happen after 2 weeks. We were stressed out and were trying to figure out options.
We approached the hotel travel desk, who were quite courteous and quickly helped us on our flight options. They went out of our way to call across to Oman to check for any flight possibility. The hotel manager, Mr. Mohammad Bayat also noticed us getting worried while we were sitting in the lobby. He insisted not to worry about accomodation or money, if we had to extend our stay . He even went above and beyond and offered his own home if we have to stay longer in Iran, in case of attacks/counter attacks. He discussed it with his manager and the hotel insisted that we extend our stay for an additional night at the hotel, absolutely free of charge. The hotel staff's kindness and personal support of Mr. Bayat touched our hearts deeply. We had one less thing to worry about.

The travel desk also looked around for any travel options and suggested we try the next day as information becomes clearer about airspace closure. Fortunately, we received information late evening that flights will start operating. The airline was quick to reschedule us for the next day. The travel desk kindly reconfirmed our tickets. We checked out of our hotel the next day. As an avid traveller, I have stayed in many hotels, luxurious to simple hotels, but I have never experienced the extraordinary assistance offered by a hotel during a crisis. The courtesy extended and assurances made a long lasting impression on our family. I recommend new travellers to stay at this hotel and enjoy its unparalleled hospitality.

Mr. Bayat's exceptional service and genuine care stood out for us during our stay. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond was remarkable. Safe travels on your future adventures!   🌟🌏✨

The hotel is a very excellent standard, very clean, and close to all services in Shiraz, including restaurants, parks, cafes, marketing, and all tourist places are very close. We were pleased with the excellent services provided to us by them, especially our dear brother Muhammad Bayat. He is a very respectable person and provides excellent services. He is very cooperative and cheerful and loves to serve others. With all love and appreciation from him, he has all our love and appreciation from us, so I relied on this hotel on all my trips to Shiraz

Room tip: The food menu is excellent but add more options of food to be superior.

The hotel is incredibly beautiful, it has traditional aspects to it.

The rooms were clean, spacious (we did book a room on the larger side), with everything provided for you such as: tooth brushes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower slippers, tooth brush kit, drinks and more. (Also a prayer mat with a Quran which has Arabic, English and Farsi translations)

The breakfast was tasty and the staff was helpful and nice.

Location is safe and close to some tourist locations.

Would recommend.

This is a good hotel in Shiraz, ok for a few nights, elegant. Staff is friendly, the variety of the food is enough, fish is good. The main entrance is decorated with nice flowers, rooms are spacious and clean. It is close to the bazar, the Vakil Mosque and the bath.

Excellent Boutique hotel. Great food and nice staff. Highly recommended. It is in the heart of Shiraz and the best part, it is close to the market and lots of good ambience. I loved each and every moment spending time with family there.

Comfortable rooms, good mattresses, and quality pillows. The showers and baths are also good. It's a nice hotel by Shiraz standards, with a pleasant swimming pool. The hammam package in their spa is worthwhile. The food quality isn't high, but the location makes up for it, being in the old center of the city. It's close to all the historical monuments and the grand old bazaar. Plus, they have Wi-Fi. I've visited there a couple of times, and I enjoyed my stay at the hotel on both occasions.

Room tip: It's a nice hotel for tourists, couples, or business travelers. I would advise you to eat outside of the hotel.
