“Location, location, location!”
Reviewed 19 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Caboodles cottage is centrally located in Crickhowell, which is an excellent base for hiking and exploring historic sites in southeastern Wales. The cottage is located on a quiet side street just off theHigh Street, steps from shopping and eating. The wonderful Bear pub and Dragon Inns are nearby and serve delicious pub food in cozy settings. There is also a bakery very nearby which offers tempting pastries, etc. Several wonderful hikes begin and end near the cottage door. Pick up guides from the extensive Tourist Information Center nearby--there is one for easy to moderate and one for more arduous routes. The cottage is cozy and quiet--perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Alex, the owner had stocked it with everything we needed for our first morning, including milk, butter, eggs and milk. She was available to answer any question, such as how to log onto wifi (which worked great). She delivered welsh cakes to welcome us--a lovely treatThere is very limited parking on Church Lane. We found that parking on Castle Road was an option. It is about a three minute walk and you can park in front of the cottage to load and unload your car.

“Really cosy cottage. ”
Reviewed 11 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

What a fantastic cottage!
Really cosy in an absolutely quiet street. The cottage is really complete. 1 single and 1 twin bed of good quality on which one can sleep very well.
On arrival we found some bread, milk, eggs, butter and some nice cookies.
We are happy we can stay here. Thx!

“All the necessities in a great Location”
Reviewed 5 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

This was our second Christmas visit and again the owners had decorated the cottage beautifully iwith lights and a tree. Another thoughtful provision was a supply of not only bread milk and butter but a cake and biscuits. A broad band router and a DVD player with DVDs were just what we needed to make us feel totally at home. All this is just round the corner from Crickhowell's bustling High Street with its attractive collection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Myriad white lights on every building made it look like fairyland at night. It is a great centre for walks. The young and energetic will certainly want to tackle the Blorenge or the nearby Black Mountains. The elderly like ourselves may prefer to visit the bluebell wood or
stroll along the canal.

“Lovely cottage, welcome pack most welcome - a nice touch!”
Reviewed 25 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed for a week early in August with my husband and grandaughter,
Delighted with the cosy and welcoming cottage.
The welcome pack was perfect as we arrived late in the evening.
The location so close to the centre of Crickhowell was also perfect.
Plenty of places to eat, would recommend the Beaufort Arms,(dog friendly) very reasonably priced and generous portions (turn left out of the cottage, and left again at the top of access road.Cross the road and walk about 50 yards, just around the corner).
Plenty of walks and places to visit including Cardiff & Swansea just over an hours drive away.

“Delightful Cottage”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This cottage was exactly as pictured, with flowers and Welsh cakes waiting for us. It is in a great location for walking to shops and restaurants and a playground for children. It is comfortably furnished with a stove, fridge, and washing machine. There is plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults. Only thing that could have made the accommodations more comfortable would be the directions on how to work all the electronics and a few additional kitchen items (we bought a mixing bowl and measuring cup).

Liked best: The location to the shops and restaurants.
Liked least: Not knowing how to use the stove, washer, wi/fi, etc. (would be helpful to put all this info in the book left at the cottage. I had to search for all this information).
