“Extreemly pleasent owner and a beautifully placed and maintained property”
Reviewed 14 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We were looking for a weekend break in this area and to catch up on old memories of the surrounding towns and villages.
The property is perfectly maintained to a very high standard and at what we thought was a very reasonable price. Beautiful views from the lounge window and we were short of nothing, very comfortable furniture, 2 large screen TV's and games consoles in both lounge and dining room TV, DVD player, Hi Fi.
A fully equipped and large kitchen with adjoining dining room, good sized bed rooms and most of all very comfortable beds.
The second we walked into the house it screamed high standard welcome and relaxation with an enormous Fresh home baked Cream cake in the fridge.
I would recommend this let to anyone just wanting to relax with easy access to shop, walks and lots of other things to do in the surrounding towns and villages.
The next time we come into this area this will be our first choice for our stay.

Thanks to the owners for a very pleasant and memorable stay at a really reasonable price

“Luxury rural experience”
Reviewed 18 January 2016 for a stay in December 2014

After a long flight from Singapore and a drive down from Glasgow, Burnbrae provided a welcoming from home for our family for a few days. The house is furnished beautifully, warm and relaxing. The kids were in awe to wake up to crisp clear morning with horses running in the field and the feeling of limitless space. We had great weather and found the historical towers and countryside fascinating and fun to explore. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you'll need. A top location for a family stay or if you want to get away from the madding crowd for a few quiet days. If I ever get to write my book, this is where I'll go!

“Ideal base for pre-Christmas get-together with family”
Reviewed 27 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

We recently had a very enjoyable stay at Burnbrae Mill; the cottage was extremely comfortable, clean, well-furnished and situated in a beautiful part of SW Scotland. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure that the cottage feels like a 'home away from home' and special mention should be made re: the home made Victoria sponge which was waiting for us on arrival (delicious). We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to friends, family, readers of Trip Advisor or other holiday rental review sites.

Liked best: Quality and condition of the furnishings and the thought which had gone into putting the cottage together in general.
Liked least: Bedrooms are downstairs which is great in terms of the views, but leaves any late sleepers subject to a few creaky floorboards.

Everything about the mill is 1st class down to bedding and towels..Everything you could possibly n eed for your stay. This is our 2nd time here to just relax, read, crotchet etc. Amazing little recluse, although not far from Tesco at Castle Douglas for supplies.
