My husband and I had a very well appointed room. It was warm, comfortable, clean and well supplied with quality teas, coffees and biscuits, lovely clean bathroom and many extras to make our stay a good one.

Room Tip: Some rooms face the main road through the village which can be very busy with tourists during daylight hours.

Pies here aren't just a casserole with a puff pastry lid: They're real, with crispy pie crust all around. Service was first class, the beer is good (although it might have been nice if there was a guest beer instead of all-Wadworth's - and the whole experience of four for dinner on a Sunday night was superb.

Very good one night stay here recently. It's a handsome red brick building at the end of the High Street with a beer garden at the back and a public car park nearby.

Friendly welcome on arrival (no reception as such, you check in at the bar) then taken up to a lovely light bedroom with large casement windows overlooking the village. Room very well appointed and very clean, sparkling en suite bathroom. Had a great night's sleep (bar closes at 11pm) and delicious breakfast, variety of cereals and muesli and yoghurts on offer, good Wiltshire breakfast...only disappointment was the coffee which was awful. However all the staff we encountered were cheerful and friendly and the place has a good atmosphere. Very popular with locals and tourists alike, and very good meals served throughout the day. We'll be back!

Group of six booked for lunch. The pub was very busy and the staff, although pleasant, were struggling. A good selection of well kept beers and a good ambiance. The food was below average pub food and not inexpensive.

As it turned out we stayed the 1 night on Lacock at War - very busy in the village ..
Still our room was very pleasant to stay in , but it seemed our room was above the entertainment area ..
Didn't have any problem hearing the music ..
Would stay again , but hopefully next time not quite as busy ..
