Stayed here over Christmas. An attractive old townhouse in the centre of the old town of Lyme Regis. The living rooms are not large but there was enough room for five adults and two small children. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds comfortable, although the two top floor bedrooms felt a little damp when we arrived, possibly the house had been empty for a while before we came.
The house is a few minutes walk from the sea front, shops and restaurants. The Town Mill Bakery just down the road is highly recommended for a hearty breakfast, as is Hix Fish and Oyster House for an excellent, although a bit pricey, meal. I was expecting that many places would be closed for the winter, but in fact very few were and according to one shops keeper, Lyme stays quite lively the whole year.
Parking is a short walk away in the council car park, get a permit from the owner to save on parking fees and having to feed the ticket machine. The car park is up a very steep hill, I wouldn't fancy walking or driving if it were snowy or icy. In fact, walking almost anywhere in Lyme involves walking up and down very steep hills.

Lovely town house in the heart of the old town. Just a short walk to the beach and High Street. Don't let the nearby fish and chip shop put you off... no cooking smells or litter to speak of.
Pull up outside, unpack the car then park it in the nearby council car park (week's permit £22 from owner) and don't drive again until it is time to go home....
We spent a great week at teal house- 5 adults and 2 children, the house was perfectly located for exploring Lyme Regis. Convenient for some lovely restaurants, shops and beaches. The main bedroom and communal spaces were fantastic, however a little TLC wouldn't go amiss here and there
Four double bedrooms on three levels was OK for us. Two fridges and two bathrooms are useful if you are a large party. The garden is a great sun-trap for most of the day. Apart from the seagulls it was quiet and peaceful. Walking along the under-cliff and searching for fossils was fun. Watch out for the food-hygeine in the seafront eateries.
