Stayed here for a week in June. Cottage is in fantastic location, only 5 mins from beach and High Street. You can even avoid those famous steep hills in Lyme by staying here. Cottage clean and tidy, having 2 bathrooms is very useful. Also having access to a garden for relaxing, sunbathing and hanging out the washing also helpful.
Lavender cottage I will admit is a great location , very close to sea front, and broad street.
the cottage it's self is nice but could do with a good spring clean
The smell underneath the sink is awful, the cottage its self smells musty so we bought some candles
The bed sheets and beds are very comfortable and clean.
It is well equipped, but some of the cutlery and plates were filthy.
The garden is over grown and def needs some work.
It's a busy little street, which is no bother, seagulls are very noisy but that's what you get for being by the sea, it's no big deal.
The net curtain in the lounge fell down down several times.
But all in all a good stay.
This was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had as a family of 4 & 1dog! The cottage was very cosy and welcoming with everything we needed. Situated in an ideal location to lyme sea front. Will be staying again
This cottage was great - stayed for one week in April. Everything was easy to arrange- the cottage is in a narrow street with public parking available further up the road, the keys are left in a secure key box next t the front door. The owner Mark emailed us to ask what we needed and provide instructions (there were also details in the cottage waiting for us).
The cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived (if I'm being picky some of the rooms could do with a lick of paint to touch up some of the bits that are peeling, also the kitchen is starting to look worse for wear) washing, cleaning materials were provided, lots of leaflets with ideas for places to go, WiFi code was waiting for us (thank God as the phone signal is patchy at best). The bedrooms were light and nicely decorated, the sitting room/dining area is darker as it's daylight is blocked by the narrow road - however the garden is a complete sun trap.
Words of warning - the public parking is easy to arrange (around £27 for a week via the internet) however although it is only a 4 minute walk away it is quite a steep hill, not great for heavy bags - drop them off then drive back up the hill. The front windows have no form of curtains which is fine but you will have to get used to people poking their heads through to have a look - I started to wave at them :)
All in all it was a great cottage and was perfect for our stay. It is such a short walk to everything in Lyme Regis.

I stayed here recently for a few days and was very happy that I did so. I Felt at home as soon as I walked in. Everything was as described, clean & tidy etc. and well equipped. I was travelling solo so had plenty of space but definitely enough room for a family or group of friends. The location was ideal - just a quick walk down to the sea. Perfect for a relaxing weekend... Or longer.
