Checked on their website that they were open and serving food.. arrived only to be told they were not serving food as they had a gin tasting evening. Ok unlucky us but the young Lady could do with a some customer service training. So caught up in this event ...no apology or recommendation of where we could eat. Why not post the situation on the web site..dimples. will not bothering future.

Good evening, I am really sorry you couldn't taste our lovely food but we never ever serve food on a Monday or Tuesday, the Gin Tasting was held on a Tuesday. We would never stop serving food to do a gin tasting night. We have one Chef and like to give him a couple of days off as he works day and night the other days. We hope you will give the restaurant a try on the days we do food. Sorry for any miscommunication. Ali

Second time eating here after having the excellent crab risotto with salmon fillet the last time. This time I picked the fish pie. Very good. It could have had a little more sauce in the pie, but that is being picky. Very good value for money and large portions. My partner had the gammon, chips and egg and loved it and our friend had the risotto which he loved. The pub is very busy so I would recommend booking ahead and a great atmosphere. Ale drinkers should have a pint of Tribute or Donegal.

Wanted to find a typical English Pub serving a typical Sunday Roast and found this place. By its own admission it’s a pub first and food second kind of place, however this didn’t stop it producing an amazing roast beef with all the trimmings. It’s a cosy wee pub with a great atmosphere, wood burning stove, good beer and friendly staff. Would highly recommend for a Sunday lunch. Big slices of perfectly cooked beef with all the trimmings including fresh horseradish cream. A cosy wee gem on a very driech day.

For some good, satisfying pub food and great atmosphere right in the shopping heart of Lyme Regis you should look no further. Portions are very generous. Our fish&chips was very good and the service is super friendly and efficient. At very reasonable prices you really can't ask for more.
