“Lovely cottage in Dartmoor”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed at the Lodge for three nights in May 2015 and can highly recommend it. The lodge is very nice, comfortable and has everything you need. We also found Andrew and Carol to be very helpful; firstly with their correspondence by email beforehand and then they gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. They also shared their experiences of places to go and visit which we found particularly helpful. The lodge is in a very nice little village and we could get food etc. that we wanted from the Co-Op in Yelverton. We never got round to eating in the pub across the road but had a great meal in the Royal Oak in Meavy, a place suggested by Andrew. A nice drive is the road from Tavistock to Two Bridges; we stopped a few times to walk on the Moors, visit the Prison Museum and also walk in Bellever Forest. All round, a great weekend and would definitely recommend the Lodge.

“Home away from home”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had an amazing time at The Lodge. The cottage is very well equipped - anything we could thing of was there. Kitchen is superbly kitted out - if you'd want to - you can cook a three course meal (we didn't). The location was ideal for us - in a small village with a pub and lots of places for long walks. Dartmoor park is very beautiful and few days is not enough to explore it, so we will have to come back. I also need to mention the owners - they've been very helpful in suggesting great places to discover and very accommodating.

Very comfortable and clean cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Welcoming hosts, who helped us with local information and suggested interesting places to visit during our stay. Local pub is very near and very good, and there are shops and other amenities nearby, as well as scenic walks and beautiful countryside.

Lovely place. Lovely village. Well placed for exploring the area. Pub almost crawling distance! Stunning walks all round. Welcoming and friendly host. Well appointed and very pretty cottage. Easy access for less mobile. Couldn't ask for more for our short break.
