Lovely place in a lovely location and just a stone's throw from some beautiful scenery of the coast. Hengar Tavern will remind you of Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights - which is no bad thing. Great facilities and an all round great place.
The lodge feels like a home from home in a great location
Hengar Manor is well positioned to explore North Cornwall- I especially recommend cycling the Camel Trail to see great views in a safe cycling environment
The lodge is clean and has everything needed - 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well equipped kitchen- dishwasher - very handy.
We didn't use the pub or pool but on site activities take place and my son had fun trying crossbow for an hour.
This lodge gives a lot more living space than I've had on similar sites and would thoroughly recommend it if you have a car to explore the region.
They said the location was lovely with a wonderful view from the accommodation. The beach was nearby and the site had excellent amenities. They ate in the restaurant there which was child friendly which with 4 children ranging from 11 months to 12 years old was really important! The pool was lovely and they had great fun there. They were able to easily visit Tintagel Castle, Newquay, Perranporth and Boscastle . The owner Hilary was lovely and very amenable, allowing them to check in early after travelling through the night from Leicester. They would definitely love to go again.
