Just had a week in padstow with my family and we were all dotted around padstow in different accommodation. My partner christine and I stayed at" the old vicarage apartment 3" and we had a fantastic time. It was spotlessly clean and as described was furnished and decorated in a lovely traditional way , really quite quaint infact. The building is grade 2 listed and stands in the most beautiful well maintained grounds with little seating areas hidden away for you to use. The apartment was very nice , well equiped, and had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Very spacious really with lounge, bedroom and bathroom on first floor all leading from a long landing on first floor and the kitchen just down a tiny staircase to ground floor that takes you to the rear door onto your own little patio with table and chairs, a real sun trap.
The old vicarage is sited just at the top of padstow away from the crowd but plenty close enough to walk down every night as we did for a meal ( different place each night) and some mornings for a breakfast. If you like to get out and see cornwall then its also perfectly sited to drive out of the gates and be on the main road within 400 yards with access to all routes.
We booked it through harbour holidays and I have no problems in using them again as they are very good, but the real stars are the owners David and Brenda who also live on site.
David and Brenda, where do I start ?, they're great. When we first arrived we were shown in the front door and up the lovely wide stairs to our front door by David and Brenda was just finishing work in one of the other apartments. They were both so very friendly and welcoming and showed us where everything was even the complimentary scones ,fresh cream and jam in the fridge. David was always working on the gardens but always had time to talk and NOTHING was too much trouble no matter what you wanted they both work so very hard.
To sum up our stay at the old vicarage, if what you want is quiet, clean and friendly with easy access to all places then this is the place for you.
Thank you David and Brenda we hope to see you again.
