We popped in here for lunch and sat down in the cafe. 5xfish and chips were served up almost immediately with tea and drinks. Great food in a lovely seaside setting. Thumbs up

Having previously used the takeaway to eat on the Quey we opted for the cafe on this chilly day. Having ordered at the counter, service was speedy and the food as advertised. Fish without chips came with a pleasant salad.

We visited the snack bar in the side street off the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pasties were excellent served with a small amount of salad. We also had a cream tea and a tea cake. All very nice in a nice environment.

We ate in at the restaurant. I had cod and chips and my companion had haddock and chips. The fish was beautifully cooked, the batter was really tasty and crisp and the chips were lovely. I made the better choice having the cod because it was quite a bit larger than the haddock! When the plate arrived the chips looked anaemic but when you bit into them they were perfectly cooked and crispy, I think the pale colour was just because the oil they were cooked in was so clean. Both meals were served with homemade tartar sauce and this was the only thing that I wasn't very impressed with as it didn't have enough capers, but this is a very minor niggle. The whole meal with 2 mugs of tea came to just over £20 so I think this was pretty fair value, especially bearing in mind that it's in Padstow!

Not worth queuing for. Fish overcooked and over priced. Chips were nice though. There must be better places nearby. Very dissapointed as had been looking forward to fish and chips all day.
