Pippa & Hugo have created a very special guest experience, every detail has been carefully thought through to make you feel at home. We only had one night at WCH and were sad to leave but will be back, especially for the magnificent breakfast! Padstow is an easy 15min walk away - we ate at No6 which is superb. Book direct with the hotel if you can for a more personal experience and choose the room which suits you best.

Thank you for the 'book direct' reference. So many guests think Booking.com book rooms for them as some kind of free service, where as they charge us 'hoteliers' 15% of the bill! We have no control - and with TripAdvisor's help - 12% of our turnover goes to Booking.com. I suppose we could just stop advertising with Booking.com, (we have no choice with TripAdvisor) but nowadays, everybody books through them as it is very easy. However, despite everything they say on their adverts, booking through them will not get you the best deals, the better prices or the personal service. BOOK DIRECT FOR BEST PRICES!!

Very friendly reception and throughout our three night stay. Not cheap but room quality and other public rooms very good. Super breakfast with high quality ingredients. Proprietors' home made lemon curd, muesli and other extras. Fresh milk in room fridge. Lovely gardens although weather meant we could not sit out.
Plenty of parking, unlike the hotels in Padstow itself. 12 minute walk down to the harbour and about 17 minutes back! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back if staying in this part of Cornwalll

Room Tip: if you have limited mobility, check ease of access. All good value but best rooms are seriously underpriced

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, we are going to be 20% more expensive than smaller B&Bs, we have VAT to charge.

I stayed at Woodlands Country House with my Mum for 2 nights. From the moment we walked through the front door we felt very welcome and extremely comfortable. The facilities were very high quality and nicely decorated as was our ensuite twin room. Breakfast was exceptional. Hugo, Pippa and Dennis the dog made perfect hosts.

Just got home from a 3 night stay here. We decided Woodlands Country House easily tops alot of far more expensive hotels. From the warm friendly hospitality of Pippa and Hugo to the wonderful breakfasts (no wonder they win awards for them!) The thoughtful little touches throughout your stay and in the tastefully, individually decorated rooms to the well stocked honesty bar. It is now my favourite place to stay and can't wait to visit again! Thankyou Pippa and Hugo for such a lovely few days!

We have recently had a 2 night stay in this beautiful hotel for bed and breakfast but wish it could have been for longer. The hotel is owned by Hugo and Pippa. The bedroom we stayed in was wonderful with beautiful views over the countryside. Breakfast was amazing cooked by Hugo with a wonderful choice of cereals, fresh fruit and fruit juices, bread and homemade preserves. Nothing was too much trouble for Hugo and Pippa. Would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in The Jade Room which was wonderful.

Thank you for the breakfast compliment. I should point out that both Pippa and I [Hugo] take turns to cook breakfast. Pippa is also responsible for the jams, marmalade, lemon curd, fruit salads and the ham. I bake; the English Muffins, banana bread, the muesli bars and, with the help of Paula & Vicky; the cereals, which we sell by the ton to food shops and online!
