We rented the cottage as my brother was getting married locally. I intended for it to just be somewhere to sleep but it far surpassed my expectations! It is a beautiful conversion with original features and everything that you need for a family trip!
The welcome basket was lovely (the children loved the hot chocolate!). It feels as though everything has been well thought out and was homely.
David (the owner) was nearby if needed and he even popped by to check that we had everything that we needed!
You will need a car if staying here as it is down some country lanes but this makes a perfect place to get away from it all whilst remaining near enough to amenities when needed!
Highly recommend this cottage and will definitely stay again if visiting family.

“Beautifully converted building in a peaceful, secluded location”
Reviewed 8 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A very comfortable stay in this well-converted building in a beautiful, peaceful, secluded location. The surrounding area is also beautiful and the cottage is within easy driving-reach (a car is essential) of plenty of villages, towns and attractions.
The cottage itself is well-appointed and maintained including the outside areas. However, for a property able to accommodate 7 people, it is disappointing that there is only one shower in the property (in the ensuite) - an issue easily resolved by installing a second shower in the main bathroom. Also, at times, there was an intense smell of oil from the boiler which is located in the kitchen.
Notwithstanding these issues, the property is a great 'get-away' location.
