We went here in hope of lobster, but they had none. Nevertheless, we stayed for lunch and had a two meals for 10.95 deal. The food was ok, nothing special, the bread with the soup and other starters was a bit old and the chips had a very strong oily aftertaste. Worth the price we paid but wouldn't pay more for the food we had.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. The unseasonable weather has unfortunately affected the local lobster catch and not even our brave fisherman have been able to land any. This is just temporary and we will have delicious North Berwick lobster available again soon.

We were in a group of three families who visited for lunch on Saturday over the Easter weekend. We were a group of 6 adults and 7 kids ranging in age from 5 to 10.

We were seated in the 'music room' - a separate part of the restaurant area which looks like it can be made private by closing a pair of large doors (great for a corporate meal I'd imagine).

Everyone's food was great and the service very attentive and friendly.

Really nice surroundings as well as a nice selection of real ales on tap in the adjoining bar area: what's not to like!

Will definitely be back again.

We had all had fish and chips which were lovely but unfortunately the portions were very small for the price. Surroundings and service good. I’m afraid we won’t return as it is not value for money.

I visited here recently with friends. I was pleased on arrival to be warmly met and seated in our booth. Unfortunately that was the best part of our experience. It is fair to say it was quite busy but there seemed to be a lot of staff not really knowing what they were doing. We ordered drinks and they did take a while to arrive. Our main courses were ok but also took a while to arrive. When we had all finished our meal we sat with the dirty plates on our table for a very long time only being removed when we had asked for desserts and coffees. When ordering more drinks the staff were not very friendly and quite frankly rude. It is a nice relaxed place to go but I feel the free childcare facility needs to be addressed. Children playing all over the bar and doing gymnastics on the furniture! Will I be visiting again? I don't think so.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are a very busy place and popular with all age groups, including families. It sounds like you visited us on a particulary busy day as this does not sound typical of the ambience or service. I would very much like to discuss this with you further. If you feel minded then please contact Steven at the hotel.
