Superb little gem, in a small old town. Excellent location for day trips into the south of Ireland. The apartment is very clean, and well appointed with everything you would need. Large comfortable beds. We had problems locating the apartment in the town, but overall the owners were helpful and were available at all times.
If you want to have an authentic and blissful Irish experience this is the place. Lovingly restored, fitted and kept by the owner, it is the perfect place to stay and use as a base of operations for day trips around the area. We loved the charm and coziness of the accommodations and host was, in a word, wonderful. A small market and pub are within steps of the place and restaurants are a short drive nearby. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.
In addition to the lovely garden, which is beautiful to see, there are potatoes in planters and we were invited to help ourselves. We dug our own spuds and fried them up with our own Irish breakfast, made in the kitchen at Old Forge.
If it is quiet and comfort that you are seeking, this is the place.

Absolutely amazing house. Very spacious, quiet and full of character. Perfect for walking in the surrounding hills and only ten Euro in a taxi from nenagh. The lakeside town of killaloe is also only 15mins drive away for boat trips and excellent food. Perfect for group holidays. Paul the manager was supperb and helped in every way he could .
Absolutely lovely accommodation and hosts. The apartment has been done up to a great standard and has everything you would need and expect from a holiday let (including very good wifi which makes a change!). There is a great garden and the balcony overlooking it is very relaxing (especially with the swallows putting on a show every evening ).
Special note has to be given to the beds - they are amongst the comfiest I have ever slept in. My 7
year old son commented that he normally gets straight out of bed when he wakes but he didn't want to leave these. And the showers are impressively powerful!!
The area is extremely picturesque and very quiet but does have a shop across the round that has the majority of your basic grocery needs. The nearest town in only 10 mins away in a car and is sizeable with a number of nice restaurants.
All in all I would highly recommend it for a quiet relaxing break in a lovely part of Ireland.
