Owner description: We love welcoming guests from all over the world to the first home of Bill and Hillary Clinton and where they were married. The Museum is situated in the beautiful Ozark Mountains in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This home has a special place in local, national, and international history. Bill Clinton took Hillary Rodham's hand in marriage 17 years before he would be elected President. The home's series of owners also have deep roots in local Arkansas history. The museum houses memorabilia of Clinton's early political career, including his campaigns for US House of Representatives and Arkansas Attorney General. Temporary and timely exhibits cover the history of Secretary Clinton's life in public service and her time in Arkansas. The collections include a faithful replica of Hillary's wedding dress and a timeline of the Clinton years in Fayetteville. Our museum store has books related to the Clinton legacy, Arkansas history, Arkansas politics, and the culture of the Ozarks. We also have mementos, gifts, and more for a keepsake of your visit. The Museum is open to the public and donations are welcome.

The museum has limited free parking, but there is some free parking on the street as it is in a residential neighborhood. There is no admission charge, but there is a donation box if you are so inclined. It is the house in which the Clintons got married. They also lived there for a couple of years early in Bill's political career. It is, after all, a residence and not very large. There is a guide if you would like a guided tour or you may wander about the place on your own. There is a small gift shop which seemed to consist of books about or written by the Clintons.

We didn't get a chance to go in but we stopped by, simply because we were in the area. It's a nice house and interesting to see where Bill and Hillary lived and got married - regardless of your views on them, they are part of American history. I would have gone in if we had time.

Very interesting and educational tour, led by a friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Many photos and descriptions of the Bill and Hillary Clinton early years in Arkansas, and the Arkansas political campaigns and offices leading up to his successful run for President.

A wonderful addition to Fayetteville, it should be on the list for all of our students from about 4th grad up in History or Social Studies classes to visit. It is a shame that the local schools dont take more advantage of it.

Located on a little street off the Arkansas University campus. Very cute home! The story is Bill & Hillary were working as professors at the University. As they drove by this house, Hillary said "Oh, that is a nice house!" Bill went back, bought it and proposed! They ended up getting married in the living room of this small home which is very cozy and comfy. Hillary didn't want a wedding dress but her mother insisted, so she went to Dillards (Department store) the day before the wedding and bought a very simple dress for $53. The dress is on display in the living room. Very casual, 70's style, cotton dress! Lots of photos to look at and interesting facts. One of Bill's campaigns was headquartered in this very living room! The kitchen is replicated as it was when Bill & Hillary lived there. Yes, it is free to go in and look around. Yes, they do accept donations, but it isn't mandatory. Very interesting stop for a peek into U.S. history. Probably an hour or less would be fine here unless you enjoy reading everything in a museum.
