Acting on the recommendation of the local tourist office assistant, we sought out Dan's cafe for a mid morning snack and chose outside seats as the weather was fine. As it happens inside was full anyway. We only had a couple of coffees with a helping of Rocky road cake each. The portions were very generousvas was The coffee mug. To top it all, the owner, Dan, came out to chat with bus and offered a top up ofbthe coffees. Very impressive. Men while, lots of people were coming and going inside as well as outside - a group of c.25 primary school kids waited for ice creams while at the same time a large group of cyclists turned up to trested to coffee and buns.

What can I say? Dan is a supremo in hospitality. We couldn't have felt more welcome. The menu is very good & the tea was great.

We popped in here for some light bites and we weren't disappointed. We had some very tasty sandwiches and tea.
The service was good and it had a bit of a buzz about it. It is quite compact but we arrived just after lunch time so plenty of room. We'll be back.

We try to make a trip here as often as we can. I highly recommend the King John's toasted on brown. Great coffee and a lovely community feel to the place. We'll be back very soon.
Thanks Dan

Just called in for a quick snack. We were lucky to get a seat as its very small. We both had soup which was delicious. I had coffee and they offered me a top-up which rarely happens anywhere! The food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and appealing. The girls who were serving were friendly and happy.

They don't take credit cards so you need cash in your pocket. I would return.
